Cutler Bay is a small town in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 10,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area and has a large concentration of gun barrel manufacturing businesses. The towns name comes from "Cutler's Bay" on the banks of the Miami River. Gun barrels have been manufactured in Cutler Bay since at least 1881. Cutters Bay Gun Barrels was founded by Julius Cutter and his sons in 1881 as one of the earliest gun barrel manufacturers in America. In 1916, Julius Cutter passed away and his sons continued to produce barrels until their death in 1950. The company was sold to Stroud Manufacturing Company in 1951 and became known as Cutler'sBay Gun Barrels Incorporated (CBBI). In 1984, CBBI merged with American Armory Corporation to form American Armory Corporation/ Cutler'sBay Armoury (AAC/CBP) which continued production until 1992 when it were acquired by Beretta Corp.. After being bought by Beretta Corp., AAC/CBP produced a variety of firearms products including handguns, rifles, shotguns and pistols under several different brand names before becoming what is now called Glock USA Incorporated (GLOCK).

However, this innovative weapon helped change warfare forever and eventually led to European victory over British forces during the Napoleonic Wars
