The history of gun lasers begins with a design submitted to the United States Patent Office in 1969 by Harry A. Rackman of Crestview, Florida. Rackman’s design was based on a device he had developed years earlier while working at Pratt & Whitney in Cleveland, Ohio. His original gun laser consisted of a pair of standard blue-tinted eyepieces (the “eyeballers”) that could be aimed using either eye or hand held controls. The eyepieces provided magnification up to 100x while the hand grip allowed users to hold the laser pointer steady against their target using just their fingers. In 1971, Rackman applied for US Patent 727603 B2 which granted him US Patent 3288191 A1. This patent specified use of two synchronized red/green LED light sources instead of one white light source as used in traditional eyeglasses devices such as telescopes and binoculars (i.e., it permitted use of riflescopes with green optics). In addition to improvement over prior designs, this patent also included features such as adjustable focus range from infinity to 10 yards while providing silent operation under average conditions; low power consumption; easy maintenance; and compatibility with various firearms including riflescopes and shotguns. While these patents did not immediately lead to production of Gun Lasers within the United States, they did help form the foundation for eventual production overseas by companies such as DXS Corporation (Japan) Ltd., Cree Incorporated (Canada), Siemens AG (Germany), Northrop Grumman Company (US), China Haier Technology Co., Ltd.(China) and others involved in development or manufacture of high-performance firearm Laser systems worldwide today!

Today, many aspects of life continue to reflect those who made Crestview what it is today: agriculture still plays a significant role; businesses survive on local sales; education continues to be important; services like healthcare, recreation/ toured attractions etc., remain essential; and neighboring towns (Dania Beach and Weston) continue to cooperate economically through business partnerships

Crestview's history begins in 1868 when two families from Jacksonville immigrated to Polk County and started a small cotton plantation. The town was founded on July 4, 1870 by three brothers who named it after their childhood home in Scotland called Culloden. In 1907, the name of the town was changed to Crestview after the discovery of oil wells near the community. In 1951, when Interstate 95 was built through Polk County and bypassing Crestview, most of the businesses in town closed down because they were not able to compete with the new highway infrastructure. However, some businesses reopened and continue to operate today such as Sunoco Logistics Company which distributes gasoline and other fuels throughout Polk County. Additionally, there are several restaurants and bars that remain open in Crestview thanks to its close proximity to I-95.
