Binocular manufacturing dates back to at least 1820 when two German immigrants named Jens Gottlieb Sievers and Johann Gottlieb Lepzig started making eyeglasses in Hanover using a single lens design inspired by Chinese pandas used as watch glasses during the Qing dynasty. In 1824 they moved their production facility from Hanover to Germany where they continued making spectacles under the name “Sievers und Lepzig Brothers” until 1829 when they changed their name to “Lepzig Brothers optician firm” after buying out their brothers’ shares in 1829. In 1830–31they introduced a new lens design which led them into what would become their most successful product line – specialized eyeglasses designed specifically for use with Binoculars! This innovative design was called the Focal Plane System (FPS) because it allowed users To view objects at different distances using just one eye while wearing your other hand! In 1851, Lepzig Brothers merged with another optician company named Becher & Schwarzkopf who had produced excellent spectacle lenses since 1798 but had not yet developed an effective way to exhibit them on demand to customers in shops like Lepzig Brothers! This new company became known as Northrop Grumman Corporation which continued producing quality spectacle lenses until 1972 when they were purchased by Raytheon Co.. McDowell and his brother-in-law, W T Wilkinson. The first post office in Crestview was established on December 25, 1892. The name "Crestview" originated from a ridge along which the community sat and from which its residents could view Lake Wales and other natural features. One of Crestview's most famous residents is Dr John Harvey Kellogg (1867-1946), who came to Crestview in 1902 as an instructor at Hendry High School and served as the school superintendent for more than 30 years until his retirement in 1933. Kellogg also founded Hillsboro Farms Dairy Company, one of Florida's largest dairy firms with over $2 million in annual sales as of 2007. In 1957, Hurricane Floyd made landfall near CrestVIEW; damage caused by the storm totaled $325 thousand dollars ($ as of 2007). In 1980, after 31 years without an hurricane causing damage or fatalities within their boundary - longer than any other US coastal community - they opened their mitigation program providing insurance protection to all homes within 2 miles of shoreline during each major hurricane season... This led to them becoming known nationally for their preparedness philosophy."

Crestview is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,951 at the 2010 census. It is part of the West Palm Beach–Boca Raton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Crestview was founded in 1892 by Captains Julius C. and Augustus Fenton as a station on the Butterfield Overland Mail route from Jacksonville to Fort Lauderdale. In 1907, it became a community with anpost office and schoolhouse. The name "Crestview" came from Crest Hill in Broward County, Florida which overlooks the town site. The first post office opened in 1907 and was known as “New Hope” because of its proximity to Fort Myers (then called Fort Canby). Eventually, Crestview grew into a small town with an official population of 100 residents when it annexed neighboring towns of Deerfield and Lake Worth on December 7, 1922. By 1926, CrestVIEW had three churches: First Baptist (1892), Methodist (1900), and Presbyterian (1901). In 1931-32; Crestview annexed two more towns: Belle Glade and Willow Grove Park. Growth stalled until World War II when demand for housing skyrocketed due to military training camps located nearby such as Ft Yourtford Bayou Campground west of town boundaries and Boynton Beach Naval Air Station east of them which created new jobs throughout the area that supported growth over the next few decades while also preserving many extant homes from demolition or alteration during this time period In 1960-61; Crestview annexed Plantation Hills Township after being approved by then-Governor John Schaeffer who cited its proximity to I-95/I-4/US 41 as one reason for annexation As early as 1925; Crestview experienced racial tension between black residents living near white businesses while white farmers lived within close proximity to black residents working on their farms This situation eventually changed through integration upon passage of US Civil Rights Act OF 1964 which granted citizens rights based upon their racial heritage rather than their place of residence
Crestview was founded in 1892 by the McDowell brothers. It became a city in 1907. The citrus industry played a large role in Crestview's development, and the city's first lemon orchards were started in 1916. In 1951, Crestview established its own water system, which continues to be used today.
