Gun barrels have been around since the 16th century. The first firearms were handheld muzzle-loaders that fired shot from a tube attached to the barrel. By the 18th century, pistols had become popular and handguns began being made with standardized barrels and chambers. By the early 19th century, rifles had become common in warfare and became important for hunting. Gun barrels became larger and more complex as they were designed to fire projectiles up to 100 yards (91 m). Barrels also became longer and rounder in shape because this was how bullets were discharged from cannons. By the late 19th century, gun barrel design was becoming more standardized so that different types of firearms could be produced using the same model barrel. This allowed for increased production rates and allowed gunmen to interchange parts without having to rebuild their weapon every time someone changed their favorite rifle into a handgun. The 20th century saw many changes in gun technology which led to new advances in firearm design including fully automatic weapons which allow users complete control over each shot fired by the weapon. With this new technology, gunmen now have an efficient way of taking down large prey with ease while still remaining undetected.

Coral Springs is home to the oldest continuously operating gunsmith in the United States. The shop was founded in 1875 by Captain John S. Cobb and his brother, Hiram Cobb. The shop has been run by family members for over 100 years. In 1975, Captain John S. Cobb's grandson, Lt. Col. John A. Cobb, started the school of firearms training at Coral Springs Armory on Northwest 14th Street in Coral Springs. Since then, the school has trained many Marines and law enforcement officers from around the country. In 1992, Fort Lauderdale-based manufacturer Glock began manufacturing handguns in Coral Springs under a joint agreement with the Cobb School of Firearms Training and also manufactures assault rifles in Broward County under a similar agreement with Marlin Firearms Sales Inc., which also provides parts and service to Glock pistols as well as other firearm brands across South Florida.
Coral Springs, Florida is a city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,691 at the 2010 census. It was formed from part of Dania Beach on February 15, 1959. It is located on the Atlantic Ocean and bordered by Miami to the north and east, Biscayne Bay to the west and south, and Kendall Park to the northwest. The COTY Awards are given annually to "The best place in America" according to CNNMoney magazine. The area that would become Coral Springs was first settled by Jewish immigrants in 1853. At that time there were only three families living in what is now Coral Springs: Isaac Greenbaum’s family of fourteen; Mordechai Kohn’s family of six; and Abraham Schiffman’s family of four. The name Coral Springs comes from a small island near where it now stands called Coconut Island. In 1892 two brothers named Amos Rosenfeldt bought land off Broward County for $2 per acre (0.68 pounds) – significantly more than anyone else had paid at that time – which they used as their farmstead until 1908 when they sold it to Julius Rosenfeldt for $5 per acre (1 pound). In 1909 Julius Rosenfeldt married Anna “Nina” Rosenthal who became one of South Florida’s most prominent women politicians and businesswomen before her death in 1998 aged ninety-one years old after a long illness at home with her eighty-year old husband Drury Gorman Rosenthal sitting by her bedside throughout her final days peaceably enjoying his own peaceful sleep after many long years spent caring for his wife like she had been his own daughter since he could remember! His wife Anna Rosenthal will forever be remembered as one of South Floridians finest citizens! Anna Rosenthal founded "The Sunday Times" publishing company which published over 100 newspapers including 20 different editions during its original existence starting with "The Daily Tampa Tribune" on December 5th 1886 - becoming Americas third largest daily newspaper publisher just behind Hearst Newspapers (owner of Universal Studios) and New York World Telegram Company! She also founded numerous other businesses such as real estate agent/brokerage Rouse & Sons Limited Partnership - still active today making homes available through home builders worldwide! On February 15th 1959 Coral Springs officially became a community when Mayor Harry Wigington announced plans to grant tax breaks totalling $10 million dollars would be handed out making it easier for people who wanted to move into this growing city located on an undeveloped piece of beachfront property right next door To Hollywood!!! This event marked not only the beginning but also the successive growth of this community!!! Today we enjoy beautiful neighborhoods such as NE corner Of NW 7th Ave N And NW 141st St ect...that were once little more than dirt roadsides!! We are blessed with world class schools like Plantation Academy which offers students Scholarship opportunities along With Advanced Placement courses...and Palm Beach Gardens which has Crime rates lower then Fort Lauderdale FL!! You name it we have it !! Our friendly police department provide crime prevention services thru Neighborhood Watch programs......and our wonderful fire Department responds quickly whenever needed.....just like our neighbors back home!!!!! Coral Springs is a town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 18,973 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee– Belleview Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in Coral Springs was James A. "Jimmie" Crouse on May 30, 1887. He bought 120 acres (49 ha) of land from George Wetherbee and erected a cabin on what is now State Road 815. In 1912, Crouse's son-in-law and business partner George Hutton donated 123 acres (50 ha) to the city for use as parkland and street improvements. In 1925, when Coral Springs became a city, Mayor J.B. "Doc" Spruce allowed two white men to name their own streets after themselves - Harry Biddle Way and John Siever Way - both of whom were then major landowners in the area near by but had never ventured out into it because they did not want their titles to interfere with development within the city limits. Coral Springs' initial growth slowed due to its location between Kissimmee and Sanford; however, it resumed rapidly during World War II because many Floridians joined military service outside of Florida and could not return home until late 1944 or early 1945 due to wartime restrictions on travel inside the state borders
