In 1886 Wm Hagan married Elmira Fenton and their first child Almira was born on November 17th 1886 at 9 Am local time at their home which still stands today just off SR 5 across from where SR 4 begins A few years later they had another child named Jennie who died young however one son William took care of Almira’s mother until she passed away in 1902 William Hagan continued farming while serving as president of the Indian Baptist Convention from 1909-1912 After Mrs Hagan’s death he married Emma Chessler on October 2nd 1912 They raised six children together including one daughter who would eventually become world renowned singer Patsy Cline In 1916 Mr & Mrs Hagan donated property comprising what are now four sides of a two story brick home that sits on NW corner lot line between Main Street and administer Rd #5 & 6 today known as "Thefarm" to St Augustine Orphanage which became known as "Families Helping Families" due to this donation . This building served as orphanage up until 1978 when it closed due to lack of support . Just east side lot line along CR 5 now houses Tallahassee Christian School open since 1954

The town grew rapidly thanks to its location on the then-richest and most navigable river in Florida, and its natural resources such as salt water and sugarcane. In 1907, Coconut Creek became an incorporated city. It experienced rapid growth during World War II due to the importance of the coconut crop in the region. After the war, Coconut Creek experienced a period of decline until it regained its former prosperity during the 1990s through development of new industries such as manufacturing and tourism.
