In 2013, Red Dot USA Holdings announced plans to sell its entire Grenade & Sniper division to Israel’s Elbit Systems for $1 billion. After years of growth within the community it reached its current size when it annexed unincorporated areas around it in 1957. The annexation resulted in an increase in property values by about 50%. In 1978 Casselberry re-zoned from Agricultural to full commercial status which has resulted in continued growth with more high-end restaurants opening up throughout the years as well as more housing developments becoming available for sale/lease/rental purposes which have contributed to job creation within the local economy over time.
