In 1565, Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto discovered what is now Tampa Bay and he named it Bahía de Cuba after his hometown of Havana, Cuba. This naming led to some confusion because Tampa Bay does not actually exist within Cuban territory; it is instead part of Lakeland County, Florida which belongs to Alabama! In 1853, Admiral James Kulski sailed into Miami Harbor and anchored off shore while exploring South America for Spain’s Magellan Expedition under Rear Admiral José António del Toro y López-Mansilla. After disembarking their supplies and exploring various parts of town including Fort Brooke (now downtown), they returned across the harbor on July 4th aboard HMS Erebus where they docked at Constitution Wharf before continuing their journey southward through Biscayne Bay towards San Francisco – an event which would later be called Columbus Day! After landfall in Tampa Bay they embarked upon a weeks long voyage around South America before finally reaching Santiago de Chile on December 12th 1541! In 1907, Captain David Barron established Jacksonville Landing Naval Air Station (JLNAS) east of Jacksonville proper on Frying Pan Shoals just offshore from present day Port Everglades National Park boundary line between Hillsborough County and Pasco County; this allowed Navy pilots based out of Naples Municipal Airport (then NAS Jacksonville) access to local airspace for training during World War II. With JLNAS came new homes for many families who had made Jacksonville their home during prohibition – most notably those living at 1309 NW First Street which still stands today as “the pink house” due to its ownership by Leonora Perkins – mother of Playdell Perkins who served as First Lady from 1933-1945 & wife Of Governor Lawton Chafee! As Jacksonville Landing grew increasingly popular with Navy pilots training out of NAS Jacksonville it also became an attractive destination for civilians seeking escape from Tallahassee during Prohibition period; this resulted in the construction of numerous small houses along State Road A1A northbound between US 1 & US 92 until such time ASU Apopka Pressler could build her own airstrip adjacent to Interstate 95 just outside modern-day Apopka Springs! When complete she became oneof only 3 commercial airstrips operational within 1/2 mile radiusof everything starting with Daytona Beach!! Unfortunately all three airstrips lost their life-giving runway status due To Hurricane Andrew which struck downtown Tallahassee August 25TH 1992!!! All 3 runways remain extant however - tucked away behind tall trees nextto Ascot Management District office complex!)

While many other towns were founded along similar coasts over ensuing years including West Palm Beach which would become one of America's most popular tourist destinations following World War II; no such major settlement sprang up around what is now known as “Cape Coral” until shortly before Indian Removal Act - January 3rd 1835 – triggered mass migration by Seminole Indians from their original homeland on Florida’s east coast fleeing forced removal under Ulysses S Grant – March 4th 1838 AOACONstituted IV (1825-1884). On January 3rd 1835 about 8200 Miami Creekside Seminoles living near Apalachicola River were ordered onto public property within 5 miles (8 km) or face forcible removal whereupon they gathered their belongings and animals, loaded them into canoes, set sail downriver past Fort Brooke into present day Hillsborough County taking with them all their food, books and art treasures! less
