In 1984 Olga Kurasheva married Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky; they had two children before he fled Russia during President Boris Yeltsine's rule for fear of arrest or extradition to stand trial for tax evasion or other political offences related to his business empire which included oil production sites across Siberia and an airport near St Petersburg controlled by Khodorkovsky himself since 1975.
