Callaway, Florida is a small town located in Polk County, Florida. It was chartered on November 3rd, 1892. The name of the town was derived from Calloway Creek which flows through the town. In 1907, Callaway became a city and on January 1st, 1912 it merger with Iveyville to form Callaway-Iveyville City. On December 12th, 1959, Callaway-Iveyville City merged with Plantation and Gainesville to form the current city of Callaway. The history of gunslingers begins in 1892 when Wm Hargrave founded the Hargrave & Company Shooting Club in Callaway. From this club grew the tradition of gun slinging that continues today in many different ways across the United States and even into other parts of the world. One way that this tradition can be experienced is through participating in one of severalGun Slinging events hosted by various clubs throughout America each summertime. These events allow for people from all walks of life to come together and sling some rounds off a range or off a bridge into a pond or river! There are also numerous target ranges around town where customers can shoot at targets set up for them by local businesses or private individuals who own property within calloway limits! One such event took place on July 4th, 1967 when over 100 people from throughout central Florida gathered at Plantation Golf Course for what was known as “The Gun Slinger” spectacle which featured some of our most famous gun slingers including Bud White (of Budweiser fame), Art Rooney (of Steelers fame), Tom Landry (Hall Of Fame QB)and many more! This event helped promotehooting sportsmanship and brought people together to enjoy an afternoon filled with shooting fun!

Callaway is a small town in Duval County, Florida. The population was 1,878 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area. The Callaway community was founded in 1892 as a small farming village on the east side of Duval County. By 1920 it had grown to include a dance and performance hall, two grocery stores, four churches, and a dozen homes. In 1925 Callaway became an incorporated municipality with its own government and school board. In 1970 Callaway voted to secede from Duval County and become an independent city with its own mayor and City Council. The following year it annexed the neighboring unincorporated community of Belleair Mills. Callaway's economy has been based largely on agriculture until recent years when there has been significant growth in manufacturing (particularly plastics) and services such as banking, retailing, construction, homebuilding, and insurance

Callaway is a small town in Escambia County, Florida. The population was 5,815 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Pensacola-Ferry Pass-Grace metropolitan area. Callaway was founded on November 3, 1892 by Dr. George W. Callaway and his wife, Fannie Crain Callaway. The original town meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Jnoie Brouwer and it lasted for two days. A second meeting was called for December 1st but Dr. Callaway did not attend because he had business in Tallahassee that day. January 6th 1870 saw the first post office established in Callaway with Hemanus L3vingston as postmaster The first store opened in 1892 and it operated under the name of "General Store". In 1893, a school started up and it operated until 1922 when it merged into Escambia County's public school system In 1896, there were three businesses: Agrarian Nursery, Fidelity Harvester Co., & Wagon Wheel Lumber Company In 1907, an oil well was drilled nearby and oil began to be produced from this well which led to increased traffic to the area In 1914-1915, there were two stores: Agrarian Nursery & Gadsden Glass Works On October 15th 1915 a tornado touched down in center of town killing one person and injuring several others including Dr George W bushnell who lost many teeth due to flying glass pieces which hit him while working in his barn Aftermath of this natural disaster resulted in significant changes within town including building new homes around central square where now stands General Store
