Gun lasers are used today for a variety of different applications, including military and law enforcement purposes. The history of gun lasers can be traced back to when they were just basic lightbulbs that could be used for sighting in guns or other firearms. In the late 1800s, scientists began working on ways to create easier and more powerful gun lasers. One such project was the development of the 4-chamber Laser Rifle by Dr. George Westinghouse in 1922. This rifle featured four conical lenses that could each fire a projectile with a range of up to 500 meters (1,600 feet). The next step ingun laser technology wasthe 3-chamber Laser Rifle by Dr. David Levy in 1974. This weapon used three cylindrical lenses that fires projectiles at ranges up to 1,000 meters (3,050 feet). These rifles were later replaced by artillery pieces and air-defense systems that use more powerful guns and lasers today.
