Callaway was founded by J.W. Callaway, who opened a store on Old Spanish Trail in Callaway Springs. The store became an essential part of the community and played a significant role in developing gun culture in Callaway. In 1919, J.W. Callaway donated land to the city of Jacksonville for use as a park known as “Callaway Park”. This park served as a major center for education and training for law enforcement officials throughout Jacksonville and southern Florida. In 1951, Callaway was annexed into Jacksonville and began serving as its own municipality with its own government leaders and police officers. During World War II, many local businesses turned to production of military ammunition for the war effort due to shortages within the United States itself (although this did not stop handguns from being manufactured). Many of these businesses were located in downtown Jacksonville where they produced ammunition under various names such as “The Arsenal” or “Ammo Place” until they changed their name after hostilities ended; these companies still exist today but are now known as Victory Ammunition Partners Incorporated (VPI) and American-made munitions respectively

Callaway, Florida is a small town located in the Miami-Dade County area of South Florida. The population was 3,695 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area. Callaway is known for its golf courses, which include two major ones - Callaway Golf Club and Cypress Hills Country Club. The first people to live in Callaway were Spanish settlers who arrived in what is now southern Miami-Dade County in 1835. There are several Civil War battles fought near or around Callaway, including one that took place on November 15, 1868 between Confederate soldiers and Union forces. The areas now comprising south central Miami-Dade County were organized as Indian Territory in 1836 by Ulysses S. Grant after his successful effort to purchase land from the Seminole Tribe of Florida. When Mexico acquired it as part of their Mexican Republic during the Mexican–American War (1848-1849), they ceded all but about 6 miles (10 km) of their northeastern border to the United States – this included most of what would later become south central Miami-Dade County. The area became part of swampy and mosquito infested Fort Lauderdale when President James K Polk declared liquidation over much of Cuba on February 14, 1898 followingbayou sugarcane production collapsing due to a fungus epidemic caused by a new strain of sugar cane virus called “Fruit Rot” brought over with Cuban refugees fleeing Fidel Castro’s revolution six months earlier. From 1902 until 1958, Hurricane Olga pounded southeastern Florida hard every six weeks or so; each time causing major flooding and damage across large parts of Lee/Miami counties east and southeast of downtown Ft Lauderdale – making it one such horrific event that helped spur development along Gulf Coast Boulevard from Biscayne Bay into downtown Miamisburg northward into Broward county before eventual landfall northwest near Pompano Beach on September 26th 1935 as Category 5 hurricanes – making landfall then again just inside Everglades National Park before dissipating back offshore hours later! The 1938 edition was also devastatingly destructive with winds up to 145 mph (230 km/h)! All told $5 million worthof property damage was reported – one third Of total value surveyed! In an article typewritten for publication by Hagerty Insurance Company shortly thereafter entitled “Hurricane Losses 1948: A Surveyor’s Report” some interesting insights are included including…the effect hurricane losses had upon business activity both within individual companies and between localities; how insurance rates had changed since 1948; specific impacts noted for businesses situated within 1 mile (1 km) or less directly impacted by a storm surge; increased use(s) for generators versus diesel power during post hurricane periods…. Aftermath: As can be seen from these excerpts there was significant change not only regarding physical structures but also occupants living within those same boundaries services like transportation being restocked necessary items like food stores being open even though many residents were displaced yet again while others rebuilt utilizing various forms FEMA assistance provided such as cash grants etc.;Tropical Storm Allison made landfall on October 5th 1998 affecting much more populated portions eastern Lee/Miami counties than did any other storm…… callaway today still has many effects that have taken place since then….. With growth opportunities adjacent to limits set by real estate prices availability has led to rapid redevelopment especially along Gulf Coast Boulevard although some core values remain unchanged

Callaway is a city in Escambia County, Florida, United States. The population was 3,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pensacola–Ft. Walton Beach–Boca Raton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Callaway area was first settled in 1835 by Andrew Jackson and his family who built their plantation on Muskegon Creek near present-day Lakeland. When the Seminole War ended in 1847, Jackson's heirs sold their property east of Callaway to David Butler and James Ladd for $2 million. They named their new development Butlertown after David Butler and James Ladd's father-in-law, John Crouch. In 1865, Jno Easley bought some land east of town from Butlerstown developers for $1 million; he founded Easleyville. Easleyville experienced rapid growth during the 1920s when citrus growers developed it as a key production center for Citrus Bowl orange juice production across Central Florida. However, during World War II oranges were produced here only for military use; subsequent economic declines have led to few permanent residents since then. As more people moved into the area following its incorporation as a city in 1985, however, efforts have been made to redevelop areas such as Easleyville Parkway/Highways 249 and 823/9A around cultural institutions like Jacksonville State University (JSU) and Orange Coast College (OCC). Today Callaway is home to many businesses that support local economy including: ABC News Radio Station WPBF serving Gainesville with news programming originating from Tallahassee; All Service Cleaning & Services which provides janitorial services throughout Escambia County including Callaway; Dunkin' Donuts Corporation operates four stores within one mile of downtown Callaway; JSU – Jacksonville State University serves as an anchor campus providing research opportunities for students in various disciplines; Orange Coast College offers associate degrees in business administration and management as well as Fine Arts programs leading to certificates or diplomas from major art museums like New York City’s Museum Of Modern Art (MOMA), Los Angeles’ Museum Of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and Miami’s MASS MoCA and much more!
