At that time, Remington became one of the largest firearms manufacturers in the world and their Ammo division continued to grow until it was acquired by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1928. That same year saw the introduction of FMJ (Fired Cartridge Journal) rounds which helped improve accuracy while also reducing recoil. The early years of Winchester Ammunition were very successful and they soon became known for their quality products. However, due to World War II they had to abandon many projects including their weapons manufacturing divisions and instead focus on making ammunition for artillery and bomber planes. Unfortunately, this created some problems as warfare changed from infantry fighting into air-to-air combat where bullet speed was much more important than weight or armor penetration ability That said, despite all these difficulties, Winchester Ammunition still continues to be a powerful force within the ammo industry today with its products being used by millions across various industries around the world

Callaway is a small town in Miami-Dade County,Florida. It was founded in 1892 by J.C. Callaway and his wife, Anna. The population of Callaway was 697 at the 2010 census. Callaway is located on U.S. 41 south of I-95 and east of US 1 (the Turnpike). It has a ZIP code 27010. The Callaway post office was founded in 1892, and closed in 1965. In 1916, John Crouch bought land near the current site of Callaway and began to build a cotton plantation called Cullum's Plantation which still stands today on 5 acres (2 ha). Cullum's Plantation produced some of the best cotton ever grown in Florida; its crop yielded an average yield of 153 pounds per acre (6 kg/ha). In 1934, Cullum sold his plantation to Fenton Robinson for $1 million dollars ($10 million today), making him one of the richest men in Florida at that time. In 1936, Robinson donated another 5 acres (2 ha) to Calloway for use as a public school campus; this became known as Robinson Park later on. The first buildings were built on what is nowcampus in 1938-39 under the guidance of Drs Jules Bussard and Clyde Hinton who also served as our first Superintendent Of Schools; Mr W A Merritt took charge after Drs Bussard left us to take up a professorship at Tulane University.). callwayflorida

Callaway is a small town in central Florida, about 20 miles from Tampa. It was founded in 1892 by John Callaway and his family. The name Callaway comes from the Creek word "kalaya" meaning "to lead." The Callaways came to Florida from Georgia and were very successful in fur trading and farming. They donated land for the city of Tampa, which was named after them. Today, Callaway is a thriving community with over 2,000 residents and a variety of businesses. Some of the most notable businesses in Callaway include the Calloway Golf Club, Tyson's Pizza, Save-A-Lot, local banks and other businesses. Callaway has had many famous residents throughout its history including baseball great Babe Ruth and US President George Washington Carver. In 1933, Babe Ruth married Margaretta King at Callway Manor; they live there still today. And George Washington Carver was born here in 1917 to a white mother and black father. One of my favorite memories growing up in Callaway was going to the Legion Field on Saturday nights during summertime to watch the games between the Bucs (the call away team) and Jaguars (the Jacksonville Jaguars). I especially loved going to those games because it always felt like home while playing for my hometown team!
On January 22nd, 1892, Callaway was founded by J.H. Callaway and his brother, W.T. Callaway. The two brothers were the first to open a golf course in what is now Florida. The original Course was located on the present-day corner of Polk Street and Orange Avenue in Jacksonville. In 1916, the brothers sold their interest in the course to their son J.H.'s son Jack (Jock) Callaway and his wife Louise Webster who renamed it "The Club at Jacksonville" in 1937 after they moved there from New York City where they had been living since 1907
