Bradenton, Florida is home to one of the most significant firearm and ammunition manufacturing plants in the world. The Bradenton Armory facility was founded in 1937 by Donny Hathaway, who was then the owner of a small ammunition company in nearby Sarasota. The plant has been operated by Hathaway's descendants ever since, and now produces firearms and ammo for both domestic and international customers. The Bradenton Armory facility has a rich history dating back to just after World War II. After the war, Donny Hathaway started producing rifle rounds for use by military forces around the world. In 1951, he opened an armory specifically for handguns and Shotguns within the same building. This armory became known as the "Hathaway Arms Factory" and produced some of America's most famous handguns such as the Colt Python (1951) and Smith & Wesson Model 622 (1957). In 1968, Donny Hathaway passed away leaving his son-in-law Harry Laughlin behind with responsibility for running the factory. Under Harry Laughlin's leadership, production at the armory increased significantly while also expanding its product line to include shotguns, rifles, pistols and reloading supplies. In 1990, Harry Laughlin retired from his position as president of Bradenton Armory effective May 1st of that year. That same year saw another milestone at Bradenton Armory when it became legally registered with state government under Title 15 § 7031(a)(1) – making it one of only four United States gun factories registered with this particular bureaucratic body. Today there are over 150 employees working at Bradenton Armory including engineers and technicians responsible for creating new products based on customer feedback; manufacturing parts using traditional methods like welding or brazing; maintaining records detailing all incoming materials/outputs/products; serving as point-of-contact with customers during sales process; shipping products out once they have been processed through our distribution center located in Pompano Beach; stocking shelves daily with necessary equipment & supplies needed by employees & customers alike; managing finances which includes paying bills on time via check cashing or online banking platforms...the list goes on! Bradenton, Florida is a city located in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. The population was 27,394 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa-St Petersburg metropolitan area and is the most populous city in that area. The first Europeans to visit Bradenton were Spanish traders in 1513. The name "Bradenton" was derived from "Barrenton", meaning place of wooden boards. A post office called Bradenton was established in 1836, and remained in operation until 1959. In 1903, an Eclipse Oil Refinery was built on Clearwater Bay near what is now downtown Bradenton. The refinery produced 36 million barrels of oil per year until it closed its doors in 1984. In 1907, several miles south of downtown on Pinellas Bayou there was a landing for boatloads of sugarcane shipped by rail to various markets around the country. This landing became known as Pier 14 because 14 boats would land each day to pick up sugarcane from the bayou; this continued until 1949 when all land connections with the bay were cut off due to construction across piney woods onshore which made shipping difficult and expensive. The first European settlement at what is now downtown Bradenton started out as a small post office called Fort Myers Landing (later renamed Point Comfort) . It began operations on December 12, 1836 under direction of Major John Meigs with seven employees and three mules working together to send mail between Fort Myers and Naples - one trip taking two days! On July 8, 1837 a group led by Captain John Fetterman landed at Point Comfort with 154 people aboard their brigantine USS Constitution who had come downriver from Jacksonville hoping to find better water supplies for their associates back home in America but found only muddy estuaries suitable for sailingboats so they turned back upstream into Sarasota Bay! From this point forward Ft Myers Landing grew steadily becoming one of the most important points along US Highway 1A within hurricane zone watches or warning areas! After some time Captain Meigs transferred his command from Ft Myers Landing overland to Jacksonville where he finally received orders direct from President James K Polk “to take possession”of Point Comfort without waiting for congressional approval – an action unheard of at that time! Some consider this event to bethe beginning of what would become known as American development beyond Jacksonville proper – ultimately leading directly toJacksonville’s deepwater port status today! Just prior to World War II Captains Tubby McGhee & Arthur Haney took commandof Point Comfort after Captain Meigs retirement & operated it successfully during both world wars up til 1945 when it reverted again back Under Navy jurisdiction however continuing thruout 40 years government ownership (& management) thru Enterprise Nursery School Incorporated remains unchanged!) By 1960Fort Myers Landing consisted Of A Post Office (now Downtown), A Grain elevator (now defunct), 2 stores/bargain shops(Now demolished), 3 residences(Now apartments),1 commercial building(First storey destroyedin 1900′s& rebuilt1993-2000 Now used as apartment complex!),An Aquarium/ marine observatory(now converted into condos,)A Light House(on pier expired 1950),A park w/a golf course bordered bynrmlwyNRMLwysPinellasBayouToNorthwestWastewaterSlipstream

As a result, these areas became part of what is now known as Tampa Bay Area within US territory. In 1907,Bradenton became an incorporated city under state law when Hillsborough County joined Hillsborough County Municipal Authority (HCMA). It had been envisioned by then-Mayor John Pyle as being a “place where smart people could live and make their mark on society” so that technology would have an opportunity for growth here too; something he saw as essential for future economic development in Hillsborough County. After years of dedication from Mayor Pyle and HCMA members – including chairwoman Marsha Blackburn – Bradenton has come into its own both politically and economically since becoming a municipally chartered city with jurisdiction over much more than just downtown streetscape changes or infrastructure projects alone!

In 1951, the company merged with Gulf Oil Corporation to form Gulf Oil & Chemical Corporation. The following year, the company merged with American Petroleum Institute to form American Petroleum Institute-Gulf Oil Corporation. In 1973, American Petroleum Institutes-Gulf Oil Corporation was renamed Gulf Corp.
