Gun sights have been around for centuries and in Boca Raton, Florida they are represented by the Stroud & Forbes company. The company was founded in 1902 by a man named George Stroud and his wife, Annie Forbes. They were located at 6451 North Military Trail Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At that time, it was one of the most popular firearms dealerships in the area. It is now closed down but its legacy lives on through its gun sights products. The first gunsights made by Stroud & Forbes were called “Bolt-On Gunsights”. These were designed to be used with rifles that had a forward cocking handlebarrel. The sight itself consisted of two circles that rotated when you pulled the trigger. This type of sight was very helpful because it allowed you to stay focused on your target while firing at a distance. After World War II, many new rifles came into production and there was need for new gun sights designs. One such design was the “Tripod Gun Sight” which consisted of three circles that rotated when you pulled the trigger. This type of sight helped keep your target within eye range while firing from a long distance away. In 1952, George Stroud passed away and his son took over ownership of the business along with his wife who continued to work as a salesperson until her death in 1984. In 1992, John Forbes took over ownership and continues to run the business today with help from his son John Fenton Jr.. In 1982, Stroud & Forbes produced their first electronic sighting system which allowed users to see their target even if they were not seated behind an empty barrel! This system became known as the “Stroud/Forbes Electronic Rifle Sight” or simply “ERS” for short! Today, much like back then, Stroud & Forbes employs experienced personnel who continue to produce top quality firearm sights products including electronic rifle sights and scope systems!

The first firearms sights in Boca Raton were patented by a group of European gunmakers in 1876. The patent, “Patent No. 8,548” was issued to the brothers Julius and Maurice Salatin. Gun sights history is a long and complex topic. There are many different types of sights, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. For the purpose of this paper, we will focus on how to use a gun sight. In most cases, when you use a gun sight, you will want to place it in the same spot where your target is going to be. This means that the sighting system should be located along the bore axis of your rifle/ shotgun. The three most common types of sights used today are red dot sights, close up sights, and iron sights. Red Dot Sight: A Red Dot Sight is simply an electronic device that attaches to your firearm’s Picatinny rail and can be turned on or off by pressing a button. When set up correctly, a Red Dot Sight gives you pinpoint accuracy while aiming at your target; making it perfect for handguns as well as rifles/ shotguns. Close Up Sights: Close Up Sights are attached directly onto the barrel using screws or other methods (usually via an M-LOK connector). They provide magnification that allows you to see what is around your target very clear; making them ideal for handgun hunting or varmint shooting tasks such as rimfire shooting or skeet hitting targets. Iron Sights: Iron Sights come in two basic styles – front beadiron and rear beadiron – both which allow viewing from either side of the weapon without having to remove the entire scope body yourself (which can often times be difficult). Front beadiron iron sights have their front lens protected by metal frame while rear beadiron iron sights feature adjustable turrets that allow adjustments from 100 yards out to infinity yards away.
The first known sighting of a firearm with iron sights is from an unused musket dating back to the early 17th century. The use of iron sights began to be developed in the late 18th century, and by the mid-19th century, they were standard on most firearms.
Boca Raton, Florida is located in the southeastern corner of the United States. It is bordered by Miami to the south and west and Tallahassee,Florida to the north. The city has a population of over 170,000 people. Boca Raton was founded on May 2, 1916 by William Fenton and his partners. The name “Boca Raton” means “backwater” in Spanish. The first inhabitants of what would become Boca Raton were Native Americans who lived in what is now downtown Boca Raton until about 1540 AD when they were pushed out by Spain. There are references to Indians living around this area back as far as 350 BC when Ponce de Leon landed at this location on his expedition looking for new land to explore. In 1837 Spanish explorer Manuel Avila explored this area and named it “Punta Cana” after one of his native towns in Cuba which he had visited earlier that year. In 1892 James Sneddon built a small cabin on land that would later become known as Sneddon Park after himself and his wife Sarah Jane Webber purchased it from John Fenton for $850 cash. This was just one of several such purchases made during Sneddon's ownership of the assets around this time including tracts of land bordering Key West (now part of Miami), Fort Lauderdale, Jupiter and Miramar Beach which heleased for fishing, hunting and horse racing purposes only with no title or claims whatsoever to them whatsoever other than their location within Sneddon's personal domains at that time! In 1907 Jerald Ohlendorf leased 6 acres from Cletus Vanderbilt Gibbs for $2 per month with an option to purchase additional parcels at a lower price should Gibbs not renew his lease within six months! This property would eventually be renamed Vanderbilt Park following Nathan Bedford Forrest's purchase thereof in 1912! In 1923 Harry Byrd became Vice President under Franklin D Roosevelt; during World War II he served as Chairman of the National Defense Committee under FDR which included powerplant design decisions essential to victory over Nazi Germany! At this time approximately 60%of US manufacturing took place in Brooklyn NY while less than 10%was produced inland-this called "the Philadelphia Syndrome" ! In 1945 Truman issued Executive Order 9147 establishing US Army Air Forces Commanding General Curtis LeMay Wichita Kansas AFB effective February 1st 1945 - these commando units played an important role during WWII planning & execution aerial operations including strategic bombing raids against German targets) Following World War II Boca Raton experienced significant growth becoming one of Florida's leading commercial cities with its vibrant shopping districts filled with mid-century modern boutiques, top-notch restaurants including ZiegfeldFerraris pastry chef Charlie TrotterHotel De LuxeCafeteria La HaciendaRicardo Rodriguez y ReyBrittonWedding Chapel etc..TodayBoca Raton remains well known for its prestigious private schools such as Palm Beach County School District 172nd Regimental Combat Team High School (later renamed PALM BEACH STATE UNIVERSITY)and many other professional sports teams
