In 1851, a group of men from Boca Raton, Florida met to discuss the possibility of manufacturing binoculars. The first binoculars were made in 1852 and were known as "Bush-Binoculars." In 1855, the company was renamed "The Optical Company" and began making binoculars under the name "Olympic Binoculars." The company became a household name in America and exported their products all over the world. By 1912, Olympic Binoculars had become part of British industry and ceased production in that country. In 1932, Olympic Binoculars merged with another American company to form "Omega Precision Optics". The merger led to a new era for the company as it became one of the top producers of precision optical instruments. However, in 1990 Omega Precision Optics announced its bankruptcy filing due to heavy losses incurred during the previous decade. After several attempts by some shareholders to purchase Omega Precision Optics assets back from its creditors, on September 15th, 1992 Omega finally collapsed into receivership. During this time there were unsuccessful efforts by other investors to revive Omega Precision Optics. Eventually on October 14th, 1992 management agreed to sell their equipment business (the optics division) back to two brothers who had founded it - James Henson Sr., Jr., president emeritus at Ostroir Manufacturing Co., Incorporated (OSM), and his son James Henson III - for $2 million cash plus future profits arising from sales or rentals of such equipment. This deal represented a comeback for Ostroir Manufacturing because it gave them control over all machinery used in making high quality precision optical instruments including printers which they could use not only within their own business but also sell off when desired; they also received significant ownership interests in three sister companies: Shoei USA Corporation (now known as Regency Stevenson & Associates), Celestron Corporation (owned by Orion Spectacular Products), and Bushnell Instruments Incorporated (owned by Roper Research). However things did not stay good long for OSM as they quickly went through several financial difficulties related mainly to increased competition from lower cost producers even though they still managed to make a profit each year until at least 1993 when profits started tumbling again due largely to global economic conditions which affected many companies including those owned by James Henson Sr., Jr./OSM during this time period notably First Solar Energy Holdings LLC/SunEdison/Eclipse Electric Vehicles having difficulty keeping up with advances made against them technologically while their prices continued unchanged thereby amounting ultimatelyto large losses not just for OSM but also these other businesses involved therein; eventually liquidation proceedings were filed against them on February 25th 1995 following an agreement between JH3 Enterprises llc., successor thereto and CSC Capital Management LP+ resulting in an auction result where SunEdison passed away with valuable assets worth $1 billion being sold off among themselves followed shortly thereafter by Eclipse Electric Vehicles passing away with less valuable assets worth about $500 million becoming commonplace knowledge among observers[1]. It is interesting that despite numerous failures throughout its history Omega always manages somehow find ways improve upon what has been done before either through acquisitions or development of new products which are later successful commercially[2]. This is most likely due partially to Jim Henson Sr.'sPsychedelic Fables book which helped popularize mathematics and technology within society[3] along with others like him who have successfully created successful businesses through creativity instead of copying others beliefs or models.[4]

The name "Boca Raton" (Spanish for "belly") has been used since 1895 to describe areas along the bay and its approach to Miami. By 1904, when incorporation papers were filed with the county clerk's office, Boca Raton had an estimated population of 1,500 people and included six full-time businesses including two banks and four grocery stores. The first post office opened in January 1905. In 1907 Wm Sargent built a hotel which became known as the Sunnyside Hotel and Casino; it remains one of the most popular tourist attractions in Boca Raton today. A second hotel called Lakeshore Towers was built adjacent to Sunnyside in 1911 but it failed to make a profit and closed down within three years; this marked the end of heavy development along Biscayne Bay Drive until World War II when commercial interests revived development along what is now I-75/US-1 Boulevard

The Boca Raton commercial center is located in southwest Boca Raton and is known for its shopping malls, casinos and beach resorts. The town was founded by Spanish colonists in 1818 as Bahia de Boca Chica on the northeast coast of present-day Boca Raton Island. In 1868 it became part of Palm Beach County after that county was created from parts of Broward and Miami counties. The first post office in Boca raton opened in 1870. After World War II, many German Americans moved to the area including Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney who were both trainers at nearby Marriotts Park Race Course before moving to their own homes or businesses near downtown Daytona Beach. In 1960, new Interstate 95 was built through the heart of what had been a sleepyresidential community by then Governor Reubens with the goal of spurring development on Isla Vista Boulevard which bisected downtown from North to South (then just north of US 1). At first few people ventured out onto I-95 because there were no exits other than exit 366 for Margaritaville Road which led directly into neighboring Jupiter Airport; only later did developers build an expressway bypassing Margaritaville Road that now includes much older residential areas east and west of US 1 between Margaritaville Road and I-95/SR 16 (andSR 810 until recently). I-95 also helped spur development along SR 810 which ran parallel to Spring Bayou south of Municipal Pier No 5 where today's Old Port Marina resides with its own island complex complete with Hilton Head Resort & Casino - one of two largest casino complexes within reach of downtown Boca Raton (the other being Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach). Today Interstate 95 runs parallel to SR 810 just south of Spring Bayou while State Road 7A continues north past Lake Worth Boulevard into western Broward County serving as an alternate route for motorists traveling inland from Fort Lauderdale airport via State Road 521 or StateRoad 441
