After World War II ended, Winchester ceased production of their Scope Mounting Brackets and the product line slowly died down. However, the popularity of Scope Mounting Brackets continues to this day and they are still being manufactured today by several different companies in Bartow.

Bartow is a city in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 10,846 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Combined Statistical Area. The first recorded mention of Bartow comes from a 1656 map of Florida by Pierre-Jacques Marquette and Nicolas Bourgault. At that time it was known as Pascagoula Creek until 1763, when it became part of Spanish Town Plantation on St. Johns River. In 1821, Bartow was incorporated as a separate town under the name of Fort Gibson although it continued to be ruled by Spain until 1827 when it became part of the U.S. state of Florida under General Andrew Jackson's administration and then Indian Territory under American jurisdiction before being sold to Polk County in 1907. Bartow grew rapidly during World War II due to its proximity to Fort Walton Beach and its heavy employment in naval minesweepers and submarines engaged in the war effort (the area now includes much housing). The city reached its peak population growth during World War II with over 50% increase over 1950 levels; however, after 1945 less employment followed military service elsewhere in America while development outside the navy led to decline in job opportunities for Barthwowers including many manufacturing jobs which were replaced by services such as health care and information technology (IOT). Today, Bartow continues to struggle with low joblessness rates but significant economic growth through IOT related businesses has occurred making it one of Palm Beach County's most promising cities for economic development Today there are major redevelopment efforts underway such as an $85 million mixed-use project called "The District" that will include office space, residential units and retail stores; another $30 million project called "Gateway" is also scheduled for completion this year that will add new commercial space on top of an existing shopping center; meanwhile light industrial areas have been targeted for revitalization with plans currently underway for a small medical equipment store and additional office space at an airport hangar used by charter airlines which would create about 100 jobs .
