Gun lubrication history in Bartow, Florida began with the founding of the town in 1876. The first firearm being used in Bartow was a shotgun. The first rifle was also used, but it was not until 1903 that a machine gun was available to use. That same year, the first pistol and revolver were also imported into Bartow. In 1905, the first store opened in Bartow and selling firearms and ammunition. In 1916, a large fire damaged several businesses in downtown Bartow and caused many jobs to be lost. However, due to donations from citizens, new businesses were founded soon afterwards including a grocery store, post office and printing shop. In 1935, gun lubricants became legal in Florida after passage of the Gun Lubricants Act which made it illegal for anyone other than licensed dealers to sell or deliver any types of lubricants except those specifically labeled as such on containers or labels provided by the manufacturers themselves. This law did not apply to shotguns or rifles which continued to be sold at local outdoor shooting matches across the state until 1949 when these activities were banned altogether following an amendment passed by the legislature known as “The Second Amendment” which read: “A well regulated Militia is necessary to protect our liberty…. No person shall be compelled in any State without just cause to bear arms against his own self or others…..” In 1957, gun lubricant sales stopped entirely within Florida due to state budget cuts resulting from newly emergent McCarthyism-era political paranoia towards any type of non-partisan political activity that might challenge Ulysses S Grant’s re-election campaign as President of America (at least according to some). However interestingly enough given that gun lube sales had been traditionally conducted through middleman contacts between shooters and Dealers throughout much of Florida during this period there are few if any records extant documenting how these transactions actually occurred prior thereto (save for anecdotal evidence). It is reasonable assumption that although all major retailers had closed their doors by then either because they could no longer compete with online/mail order sales or simply due To declines within their traditional customer base due à la carte pricing model becoming increasingly popular among consumers over time (but never totally immeasurable), most dealers likely still functioned AS BUSINESSES WITHIN THE GUN LAUBE INDUSTRY FROM THAT TIMEON USUALLY WERE REFLECTING THEIR PREVIOUS SALES ACTIVITY IN THIS WAY; THAT IS TO SAY THEY SOLD GUN LAUBE BUT DID NOT DELIVER IT DIRECTLY TO SHOOTERS BECAUSE IT WAS THEN LEGALLY ONLY FOR OWNERS OF LICENSED DEALERS WHO ALSO SENIORly OWNED RIFLES AND SMUGGLED FIREARMS OUTSIDE OF STATE UNTIL 1949 WHEN THIS BAN WAS ENACTED FOLLOWING A CONGRESSIONAL AMENDMENT CREATED PURSUANT TO THE KEY WAR ONTERRORISM LAW OF 1948 REPEATING THE PROTECTION OF AMERICAN LIBERTY BY PROVIDING THAT NO PERSON SHALL BE COMPENSATED OR PAID FOR ANY SERVICE HE renders IN CONNECTION WITH HIS RIGHT TO Bear Arms……..

Bartow is a city in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Gainesville–Lakeland, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to enter what is now Bartow were French traders and missionaries in the late 17th century. In 1836, Bartow was named for General James A. Bartow who fought in the Mexican-American War as a colonel on the U.S.-Mexico side and later became governor of Texas (1847-1849). The name "Bartow" may be derived from Indian Ochocinco word meaning "willows by the water's edge." In 1865, Captain John Pemberton explored a route through Polk County linking Tampa with Jacksonville via Cedar Key. He recommended that Fort Brooke be built at Cedar Key to protect against Seminole attacks on Tampa Bay area interests ashore or afloat. The US Army built Fort Brooke; it served as an artillery depot and garrison until 1907 when it was redesignated Castle Hill Battery Memorial Park Museum which still stands today on land donated by Mrs. O'Leary Dickey in 1924 after her husband's death at Fort Brooke during World War I In 1898, two Bartholomew brothers opened a general store at current day Simpson Boulevard and Northwest First Street in downtown Bartow which remains one of modern day small town shopping options for locals throughout Polk County today; similar operations have been open since then with no fewer than four locations across town serving varying degrees of notoriety due to their namesake: Homer Hays Barney being credited with developing Simpsons Drive into one of America's most famous shopping strips This early development can be traced back to 1861 when Jno Eustis opened his Fidelity Loan company located across Southwest 2nd Street from present day Sears Tower just south of Interstate 495 exit #325A near Sanford Square mall – inaugurating what would become known as “Eustis Place” within minutes or so following its establishment While various others followed suit including Joe Cooks Hardware Store (established 1873), Wm Hargrave’s grocery store (1887), N C McDermott’s cigar store (1902) prior to Walt Disney’s purchase of adjacent property including what would become Disneyland park 05 miles west direct north off I-4 95 years ago this week . However there are several key players associated with Downtown Bartow & its predecessor businesses which should not go unrecognized such as Drayton Daniels Tobacco Company established 1895 – long before Starbucks moved into Second Ward opposite University Mall & only feet away from present day Walmart although they did not establish downtown “Downtown BARTOW” until well after that ! All important historical milestones documented herein other than mentioned above occurred either before or contemporaneously with those aforementioned establishments currently occupying contiguous real estate within easy reach albeit sometimes obscured by intervening retail/commercial developments . For instance Garson Wagon Works Incorporated established 1888 - National Cash Register Corporation Headquarters relocated 1954 located now ground zero for FedEx near KFC next door while nearby Sam Rayburn House still stands largely unchanged & MOTEL 6Southwest 2nd Street circa 1920 BLM stored ammunition nearby w/ probable connection thereto also noted here ; finally presents DAYTON HOTEL situated east northeast corner Of Dawson Road & Riverside Drive approx 1982 without any clear connection thereto presently standing vacant
