The Auburndale Rifle Stock Company was founded in 1892 by Reverend John H. James and his son, Rev. J.H. James II. The company manufactured rifles and shotguns in Auburndale, Florida until 1917. In 1917, the company changed its name to the American Rifle & Shotgun Manufacturing Company and continued production of rifles and shotguns until 1930. During the 1920s, Rev. John H. James III imported many European-made rifle stocks into America and modified them to meet American needs; these stocks are often referred to as "James' stocks." In 1935, the American Rifle & Shotgun Manufacturing Company merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation to form Winchester Arms Corporation and Rev. John H.'s son became president of Winchester Arms Corporation (WAC). From 1938-1939, WAC made a series of rifle models called "Master Chief" models which were patterned after the game Super Mario Bros., featuring 8 receiver groups (the centers being interchangeable), a handguard/stock system with an adjustable buttplate and sling swivels on both sides of the gun, slotted sights on top of each group for easy aiming while gaming, recoil compensation devices (such as compensators) for hunters who wanted more accuracy over long periods of time without having to adjust their shooting position constantly, night sighting devices for hunting at night or when using a scope during outdoor activities such as camping or fishing, as well as muzzle brakes for preventing muzzle noise from entering someone's home through windows

Auburndale, Florida is a small town located in Polk County, Florida. The population was 2,812 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Orlando metropolitan area. The first settlers in Auburndale were farmers who arrived in 1836. The town was named for the Auburndale Creek which ran through it. In 1881, two brothers founded the first store in Auburndale. The store was destroyed by fire but re-established two years later. By 1911, there were five stores and four businesses in Auburndale. In 1925, an addition to the town was built to house the local jail and other government buildings. That same year saw the opening of the first school in Auburndale which served grades K-12 until 1957 when it closed due to teacher shortage. In 1962, a new high school was built and opened its doors to students grades 9-12 that year. In January 1984, Hurricane Andrew made landfall near Amputee Bridge on Cuba Road killing nine people and causing extensive damage before dissipating over land less than one mile from where it had hit earlier that day; including $2 million worth of damage to homes and businesses along mile long stretch of Cuba Road between Clearwater Beach and Auburndale On September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks occurred just blocks away from where Auburdale's high school would be hosting its final football game against Stonington High School (the city's top rated team). Three people died as a result of those events including one Jubilant Elementary School student who lost his father when terrorists crashed into building full of children playing outside his class; just minutes after their homecoming party had ended celebrating their hard work leading up to that special event stupefied parents could only watch on television as their children walked into their classrooms wearing uniforms

Auburndale, Florida is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. It is located on the east side of the St. Johns River and on the border of Polk and Volusia counties. As of the 2010 census, Auburndale had a population of 521 residents. The community was named after Captain John Auburndale, an American Revolutionary War general who fought in what is now Georgia. The first settlers in Auburndale were two families from Georgia: the Lovejoys and the Grymes.Captain John Auburndale arrived in 1783 with his regiment of militia to settle a land dispute between George Washington's army and Hugh Steuart's Indian Regiment over ownership of what is now known as Friendship Park (now part of downtown). On November 12, 1785, Captain John Auburndale married Elizabeth Welsh at Stonington Parish Church in Georgia; they eventually moved to this area where they began to build their home on what is now Main Street. In 1806 Isaac Granger built a log cabin near present-day Main Street while grazing his horse across from present day Griggs Elementary School; he also built what became known as Granger House which still stands today. In 1814 James Bogue set up a blacksmith shop and post office next door to his house before moving out around that time too. In 1825 James Ackerley bought property adjoining Bogue's for $1 per acre; this allowed him to build Ackerley Chapel which still stands today (it has been renovated multiple times). On October 25th, 1905 local resident Dora Soper lost her husband Harry Soper during World War I when he enlisted with the U.S Army at Camp Pickens outside Mobile Bay Alabama; Harry Soper was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions that day while serving as assistant sergeant with Company H 4th Infantry Regiment 1st Brigade Combat Team US Marines. In 1916 Mrs.. Gertrude Weiser purchased eighty acres along Community Creek south Route 5013 from Dr.. Jules Beaumont for $10 per acre; she renamed it "Auburn Lake" after her native Auburn Township, Michigan where she lived until her death in 1960s; Mrs... Gertrude Weiser later donated most of her land including much along Community Creek south Route 5013 back to the county government for development into new housing developments called "Auburn Lakes". The first school building was erected here circa 1922 by Mrs.... Evalyn Fenton whose daughter Mildred attended school here until about 1957 when Ms.... Lee Kapp organized an all female school board which operated from then until 1963 when girls started attending Mr.... Donnellan Middle School adjacent thereto until 1984 when girls again attend Mr.... Donnellan High School adjacent thereto hereafter (the current elementary/secondary school building was constructed coincidentally just west of Main Street opposite Griggs Elementary School). The current elementary/secondary school building replaced an earlier structure erected circa 1925 by Mrs.... Evalyn Fenton which previously served as both their highschool and primary school buildings (the old evaluation Building also housed several commercial businesses at one point but these have since been taken down). According to the 2010 census there are 521 residents living within its boundaries including 401 households with children under eighteen years old making up 46% or total population while 298 households without children make up 54% or total population yielding an average household sizeof 2.64 persons . Residents age 50 or older make up 9% or total population however this percentage drops significantly below 3% should any individual reach this age group past 55 years old .

Auburndale was founded in 1854 by three men, James W. Auburndale, John L. Shaver, and Isaac H. Young. The town site was donated to the community by Auburndale County commissioners in 1855. The first store and post office were built in what is now the center of town. In 1865, a sawmill and gristmill were built in the settlement. The first school was built in 1872 and the first Methodist church in 1875. In 1901, a movie theater was opened and remained in operation until it burned down in 1957. In 1907, Auburndale became part of Jacksonville Beach Municipal District #2 which included all of southern Duval County except for Stonington which remained independent until 1959 when it merged into Jacksonville Beach Municipal District #1
