Auburndale, Florida is home to the world’s only firearms museum, and it has a rich history with firearm clothing. The city was founded in 1843 by Sir John Auburndale, an Englishman who claimed to have found a buried treasure in the area. In 1870, Auburndale became a town and began to develop as an agricultural community. It wasn’t until 1898 that the first firearms factory was established in the town. The firearms industry in Florida increased significantly during World War II. During this time, many residents of Auburndale turned to arms for defense against Nazi Germany. Many of these residents also invested in gun manufacturing businesses. The town prospered during the war and resumed its growth after hostilities ended. However, crime rates began to increase during this time and gun manufacturers pulled out of Auburndale altogether. However, things changed again when Hurricane Floyd struck the area on August 13th of 2001. This storm caused extensive damage to homes and businesses throughout the county and led to a rise in crime rates. As a result, many gun manufacturers returned to town and started up new factories within months of Floyd’s landfall. Today, Auburndale continues To be one of America’s most vibrant communities devotedto firearms culture; it is home to two major gun stores as well as several smaller shops selling all manner of firearms related items including ammunition and reloading supplies

The history of firearms in Auburndale, Florida can be traced back to the early 1800s. At that time, this community was located in what is now Polk County. A number of people were responsible for the development and adoption of firearms in this area, including George Mason and Daniel Boone. In 1836, a group of farmers from nearby Fort Gibson formed the first rifle club in Florida. The club met on an annual basis to practice marksmanship and discuss firearm safety issues. In 1847, a group of men from Jacksonville settled in what is now Auburndale after moving westward from Mobile Bay. They soon began importing arms and ammunition from England and Europe. One of these gentlemen, John Fenton, donated land to build a gunsmith shop in Auburndale. This business became one of the most successful in town. During World War II, many local residents volunteered their services as soldiers or sailors. Some even left their homes to fight abroad while others took up Arms-making as a profession. After the war ended, many people returned to their old lives but some continued making rifles and shotguns until the early 1970s when production stopped altogether due to dwindling resources
Auburndale is a town in Orange County, Florida, United States. The population was 7,516 at the 2010 census. Auburndale is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Hollywood metropolitan area. The town was founded on November 20, 1892 by James Auld and his wife Anna Belle Auld. The first post office in Auburndale was established on January 1, 1893. It was renamed to Auburndale in 1907 after its founder's brother-in-law, Alexander Auburndale. Auburndale has a humid subtropical climate (Cfa), abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Auburndale has a hot desert climate (BWh). However, according to the National Weather Service it enjoys mild temperatures year-round with average highs around 71°F (23°C). Monthly totals for December and January are about 32 degrees F (-0°C) with lows below 27 degrees F (-3°C). Annual averages hover around 82 degrees F (27°C), though brief spells of much higher or lower temperatures can occur during winter months dependent upon weather patterns across Central Florida

Auburndale is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,914 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa-St Petersburg metropolitan area. Auburndale is located on the mouth of the St Johns River and is bordered by Hillsborough County to the north and west, Pinellas County to the east, and Pasco County to the south. The first Europeans to arrive in what is now Auburndale were French fishermen who explored both banks of the river in 1695. The earliest indicative reference to Auburndale comes from a deed dated July 12, 1790, between Samuel Prentice and John Morse which mentioned "a place called Aurburndale" as being on "the right bank of navigation aforesaid". In 1807 José María de la Luz y Costilla built a cabin on a bluff overlooking Clearwater Bay and named it San Ignacio de Loyola (San Ildefonso d'la Loyola). In 1830 Captain James Waring discovered an oil well near present-day Auburndale and named it Waring's Well after him. The community developed around this well until 1868 when water communication became available from Lake Apopka downstream through Fort Myers beachhead. The first school in what is now Auburndale was established in 1845 by Reverend Denton Barrett with 25 students; later schools were opened at Clearwater Beach (1850), Gulfport (1860), Jacksonville (1870) and Plantation Key (1875). By 1880 there were 296 residents in all five schools combined with 2 churches - Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church(founded 1850)and Methodist Episcopal Church.(founded 1865). This growth continued into post-World War II years as many people moved into new housing developments near Suntrust Park/Auburn Dale Boulevard/Sunshine Parkway or relocating within Polk County itself for economic reasons during times of rapid population growth throughout South Florida during that time period such as duringowntown Orlando's redevelopment boom following World War II or during development around Everglades National ParkYAARPBA campaign led by then Mayor Charlie Crist 高田正平 .Auburn Dale Boulevard remained one continuous arterial route linking downtown Tampa with SunTrust Park until 1970 when its routing changed along Sunrise Road → US 11th Street → US 82ND Avenue → Sams Club Blvd.– making it one block longer than Sunshine Parkway going east– leading to airport access via Interstate 4E through Sanford AFB rather than going down Sunrise Road towards downtown Tampa where access was via SR 5 just south of Ybor City proper before making its way back up Sunrise Road again joining Tollway 8 across state line before terminating at I-4E exit 20 NNW Tallahassee
The first white settlers in Auburndale were James and Deborah Robertson who arrived in 1821. The town was named for the Auburndale River which ran through it. In 1825, a post office was established in the town and it remained operational until 1907. In 1836, a railway was built to connect Auburndale with Jacksonville. This led to an increase in population and business over the next few years. By 1840, the town had a population of around 100 people. In 1851, J.M. Dent opened a store in Auburndale and this helped to spur development within the town. By 1870, there were six stores and twelve businesses operating in the town. The population had increased to around 300 people by 1880-1890. From 1890-1920, there was only one store operating in the town before it closed down due to lack of customers or financial stability. In 1923, an airfield was constructed near the town which served as a base for local military activities during World War II. The airfield also played an important role later on when Florida State University relocated from Tallahassee to Auburndale after being founded there in 1904
