Gun Parts History in Altamonte Springs, Florida began with the first firearms made in the town of Altamonte Springs in 1903. The guns were primitive, and were used for hunting and target shooting. One of the first gun manufactures to locate inAltamonte Springs was Smith & Wesson. In 1916, the company moved its operations to a new building on First Street NW. This location allowed for larger production runs and better quality control. During World War I, Altamonte Springs played an important role as a munitions depot due to its location at the mouth of Kissimmee River. The town was also home to the Orlando Arsenal which manufactured artillery shells and ammunition. After the war ended, Altamonte Springs experienced a period of growth which saw more businesses open up and more people move into the community. In 1951, Armalite Firearms Corporation relocated from Fort Worth, Texas to Altamonte Springs after purchasing two pistols From Purdey Manufacturing Company. At this time, Armalite became one of the largest firearms manufacturers in Florida with locations throughout Southwest Florida and Central Florida. In 1963-1964 Armalite purchased three handguns from Hennepin Arms Corporation located near Minneapolis-St PaulMinnesota; these guns would go on to be known as "The Three Musketeers". These guns came equipped with heavy barrel barrels (which later became standard), No3 bayonet sights, pearl grips and checkered walnut stocks; they are still considered some ofARMALITE's most prized possessions today! Over time other companies have been hired by ARMALITE such as Jewell & Co., Moore Firearms Inc., Stevens Pistols (now Colt)and Sig Sauer AG; however, it is now largelyproducing rifles that are licensed under ARMALITE products name alone!

Altamonte Springs is part of the Boca Raton-Lake Worth-Boca Raton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name "Altamonte" comes from the Indian word "alamonto", meaning "headquarters of the enemy". After Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto's visit in 1565, he named two small villages around what is now Altamonte Springs - Avila and La Vega. In 1903, J.P. Morgan established a citrus farm here that became one of Florida's largest producers of oranges and other fruit for export to Europe and North America. In 1918, Marconi leased land on which he built his first wireless transmission tower just north of town; this antenna allowed him to communicate with New York City during World War I without using expensive cable cars or horses to take messages between stations. After Marconi's death in 1939, Gaines Johnson succeeded him as proprietor of Radio Corporation of America (RCA). From 1941 until its sale to Time Warner in 1995, RCA operated Altamonte Springs' first television station - WQXR (channel 8). One hundred years after Morgan's original citrus farm operation began here – making it one of only a few American cities still served by an old agricultural center – Altamonte Springs has seen dramatic economic growth as home to some Ofirim & Sons Restaurants (now second largest employers), Sunoco gas stations and several large medical complexes among others.

Altamonte Springs is a city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,631 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Miami-Dade and part of the Greater Miami metropolitan area. The town of Altamonte Springs was founded by Isidore Payne and James A. Woods on December 12, 1895 as a small community on Altamonte Creek in what is now Overtown neighbourhood ofMiami. Payne had been born in County Mayo, Ireland and arrived in America in 1877. Het land for the town was donated by Colonel José Ponce de León to establish Fort Myers (now Everglades Park). In 1898, when Ft Myers became an American military post during World War I, Altamonte Springs became part of Camp Logan near present-day Doral Heights neighborhood on Biscayne Bayou that served as headquarters for General Pershing's American Expeditionary Force fighting against Spanish forces which controlled southern Florida during World War I and later also served as storage depot for supplies going to Key West during Prohibition. In 1925 Altamonte Springs incorporated as a city under the name "Miamisburg". In 1951 Miamisburg annexed part of nearby Cutler Ridge Township so that it would have its own police department but this annexation was repealed because Cutler Ridge Township did not want to be annexed into Miamisburg without getting express consent from their residents first. On November 3rd 1959 City commissioners voted 5-1 to annex more territory from Cutler Ridge Township including much of what is now Overtown Neighborhood within minutes after voting on annexation proposals which were non-binding resolutions since no one living inside Cutler Ridge Township wanted to become an annexee without consulting their residents first On January 17th 1960 City commissioners reincorporated Altamonte Springs with its new name "Miamisburg" effective January 17th 1960 following ratification by all five City Commissioners
