As a result, annexation into Hartford took place without formal vote or referendum; however, since most residents live close to either city limits and retain strong ties to both municipalities, there has been little impact on overall west-east traffic flows within each municipality since this time. According to the 2010 United States Census Bureau report,[1] 816 people lived in West Haven Township while 2227 people lived in East Hartford Township.[2] The racial makeup of both municipalities was 97% white (non-Hispanic), 0% black or African American; 1% Native American; 0% Asian Pacific Islander; and 2% other race

One of the biggest challenges faced by West Haven during its early years was finding enough workers to fill all the jobs needed for its growing population! However, over time this problem changed as businesses began starting up in the townspeople! This led to an increase in job opportunities for all members of society – regardless of sex or ethnicity! This trend continued throughout much of 19th century America! In 1892, West Haven merged with neighboring Easton into one large city! This move helped Easton become more prosperous than ever before while also increasing access to education and employment opportunities for everyone living within reach! Today Easton is one of Connecticut's largest cities with a population close TO 200K people!
