In 1814–1815 new land was acquired east ofpresent-day Main Street which became known as Easton Square and contained some early mills owned by Nicholas Conte (1763–1839). Of particular note are two gristmills located on Northampton Road just north of present-day West Hartford Avenue: Griswold Mill (c 1792) which continued operation until 1865; and Whiteside Mill (cr 1802), which closed down in 1907 but reopened in 1916 as Bradford Mills Ltd., still operating today among other purposes including hosting concerts by artists such as U2 during 2002's "One Day @Twickenham" tour stop thereabouts On November 3rd 1816 an act were passed by the General Assembly providing for ""the Encouragement And Exportation Of Manufacturing Arts And Manufactures"" within The Town Of Norwich."" This led directly to increased activity at both Griswold & Whiteside Mills due to increased demand for flour resulting in prices going up 50% each year thereafter! At this time much attention was paid not only to increasing exports but also importation – specifically French bread items being imported into Hannah Thurston’s bakery on Front Street With over 20 years experience Manuel Ramirez started his own company making Sausages called Ramos Sausages back then it was considered very good quality products In 1886 when Bridgeport annexed part of what is now Easton Square it included all or part of what became known as Ramirez Alley - this alley stretched between Bridgeport Rd & Meetinghouse Rd today meetinghouse Road forms most recent corner where Lieberman Lane begins

It remained an unincorporated community until it merged with Hartford on January 1st 2006 to form the current city-county boundary
