As rifle stocks go, the Naugatuck Rifle Stock Company was a pretty unusual business. It wasn’t founded until 1869, and it only ever made rifles. The company didn’t originally produce sniper rifles or other high-end firearms, but it did develop a system for attaching barrels to stocks that became very popular in the late 19th century. The company was started by two men who were both avid shooters. One of them, Levi Coffin, would eventually become one of the most well-known rifle manufacturers in America. The other man behind Naugatuck Rifle Stock Company, John Fenton, would also become quite famous for his work on firearms designs. One of the main products that the company produced was a stock known as the Coffin Stocks. This stock featured an attachment system known as “Coffin Rings” which allowed users to attach barrels to their guns without having to remove any parts from their guns. This system became very popular due to its simplicity and ease of use. Other products that the company produced include pistols and shotguns.

Naugatuck, Connecticut is a town located in eastern Connecticut. As of the 2010 census, its population was 17,512. Naugatuck is part of the Bridgeport-Worcester-Norwalk, CT Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town is named for Nathaniel Naugatuck (1638-1712), an early settler and founder of Norwalk. The first white person to live in what is now Naugatuck was Jonas Northrup in 1667. He and his family were the first Europeans to enter the area that encompasses present day Naugatuck and Watertown. Northrup's home became known as "Northrop's Hook." Nathaniel Naugatuck settled in what is now NaugatUCK in 1692 and founded the first community here. He was one of six original settlers who arrived at Hartford River on February 6, 1692 under charter from King James II of England with instructions to found a new capital for Connecticut on the site where he had seen a landing party led by John Winthrop land two years earlier. Nathaniel built a small cabin on his property which later served as the first courthouse in town. Nathaniel's son Increase also lived in what is now NaugatUCK during much of its early history; however, he never married into the local Puritan family and left no descendants living there today. Increase's house, still standing today on Main Street between Ives Place and Elmwood Avenue, may have been built by him or his father or both). Increase's House also served as schoolhouse until 1839 when it burned down after being damaged by firemen while being used as a stable for horses belonging to Second Lieutenant Israel Putnam Jr.. A group of Philadelphia born Quakers came to live near Stamford Bridge Road east of downtown Bridgeport sometime before 1727 when they heard about land grants made by King George III entitled "The East Side". They called themselves The New Africans because they were not welcome among English Protestants like themselves so they decided to call their settlement Newtown but it got confused with Naquaghtucket which was name given by some Native Americans who had followed them there during their travel across Long Island Sound from Rhode Island . Eventually they called their settlement Hartford because that is where Sir William Pynchon met them while fighting against Indian forces at Fort Fairfield . Some historians say that this story may be apocryphal – if true then Hartford would be oldest continuously inhabited incorporated municipality in America . However any such confusion about origins seems far removed from contemporary attitudes about organized religion within society generally – especially given growing concern over religious intolerance aroundthe world! In 1741 Reverend Samuel Morse moved from Newtown to Wethersfield after becoming interested therein through missionary work among native peoples thereabouts In 1751 Rev Morse & 2 assistants established WethersFIELD Congregational Church Hereafter That First Congregation Closes School… Wesleyan Methodist Episcopal Church Opened In 1754 On The Site Of This First Chapel A Meeting House Was Built Which Became A Parish Church Called Trinity Anglican Church In 1814 And Still Operates Today…. Naugatuck, Connecticut is a town located in eastern Connecticut. The population was 7,836 at the 2010 census. Naugatuck is one of the oldest towns in the state and has been around since 1664. The town was named for Nicholas Naugatuck, an Englishman who had settled in what is now Hartford County in 1664. Naugatuck first appears on government records in 1786 when it was part of West Hartford Township. In 1814, Naugatuck became a separate town when it amalgamated with EastHartford Township to form the current municipality of Naugatuck. The history of NaugatUCK can be traced back to 1664 when Nicholas Naughtenberger moved from England to what is now Hartford County and established a small trading post there. His descendants continued to live here until 1814 when they fusion together with other townships to form the present day municipality of Naugatuck. Between 1786 and 1814, many settlers arrived here including Captain John Slocum who built Fort George on Long Island Sound for use as a military base during the Revolutionary War. During this time, many businesses were set up here such as soap production and tanning which continues today as a major industry in the community. In 1834, Nathaniel Cummings bought land in present day downtown Naugatuck from General Titus Morton for $1 million dollars which he used to build his mansion called "The Plantation". This landmark still stands today and is home to the Town Hall lawn where public meetings are held each year on July 4th or October 5th depending upon the year's events schedule. After years of development by Cummings' family and others over several decades, downtown finally came alive with its own commercial district during Prohibition era (1924-1929). This period saw heavy illicit activity taking place within downtown boundaries due to prohibition laws being more lenient than those currently governing alcohol sales statewide at that time - resulting in some damaged storefronts and other problems throughout downtown areas during this time! After World War II ended, many new families started moving into town after hearing about good economy opportunities available here following the war effort all across America. These newcomers brought their own lifestyles and values with them which helped shape how Main Street looks today - something that has not changed much since then! Over time various businesses have closed down but have slowly been reborn again thanks to support from local residents living nearby!
