Three people were killed and 10 taken into custody including Kendall himself before he was arrested and transported back to Hartford where he would be tried for treason A bill was introduced by Representative John Pappenheimer that would have made it illegal for any person except military officers to carry arms within town limits However this bill failed to pass but did result in increased regulation of firearm sales by local officials In 1892, an ordinance was passed which allowed gun licences to be issued by township officials instead of police officers This ordinance led to more widespread distribution of firearms among residents due to its convenience In 1916, Armour Manufacturing Company opened their doors for business after purchasing part of The Plaza from Elijah Clarke . From 1916-1921 they manufactured ammunition boxes and revolvers for both civilian and military use

The towns center is located just east of I-95 between exits 2A (New Britain) and 2B (Hartford). Interstate 95 forms the eastern border of Ansonia while State Routes 3 and 9 run along its western edge. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , all land. The nearest water body is White Brook which forms part of New Britain Reservoir on Long Island Sound. Inland lies much higher ground than coastal areas making for more secluded neighborhoods within an urban setting than found inland or on points overlooking open waterways like Hartford or New Haven Bay

Ansonia, Connecticut, is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut. It was founded in 1765 by Samuel Anson and named for him. The population of the town was 1,547 at the 2010 census. The first settler in Ansonia was Captain John Smith who landed there on March 15, 1765 with his ship the Dolphin. He prospected for land near what is now Ansonia and established a small hamlet there called Little Compton on April 12, 1765. Captain Smith's hut still stands today within walking distance of the modern-day town square. The early years of the township were difficult as it required much effort to get water to drink and to farm; one such incident occurred when men from Westchester County built a large dyke in order to control access to the Susquehanna River which led directly into Ansonia Creek. The Town Meeting voted not to erect a dyke but instead charged their farmer neighbor $2 per acre for ground that he would use for farming purposes only – an event which still echoes throughout history today as an example of how important land ownership remained until well into the 20th century in New England towns. In 1803, Peter Jansen bought 640 acres (248 hectares) of land east of present-day Ansonia from Amos Stowe for $5 per acre ($120/km²). This purchase allowed Jansen and his family to establish theirown small community on what is now Main Street just north of Center Road serving as their primary residence until they sold more than two hundred acres (100 hectares) including rolling hill country west of Center Road and also included portions of present-day Hermonville Landing east of Center Road during World War II when much Of eastern Connecticut became part of Japan following its attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941. On October 5th 1836 James Atherton donated 6 acres (2 ha), known today as Atherton Park located between Main Street andCenter Road south side then east side now across US-1 from US-1 business park opposite Woodbury Library
