In 1892, a man by the name of George Armstrong Custer was killed in what is now known as the Battle of Little Bighorn. The battle is most well-remembered for Custer's last words which were "thousand miles from home, and yet I am not alone." This phrase signaled to many that he was not dead and his army continued on to victory. In 1897, two bullets were found buried in a field near Windsor Colorado. One bullet was inscribed with the word "George" and the other with the word "Custer". These bullets are now considered historical artifacts because they show evidence that someone cared about their namesake.

The current spelling of the name comes from when it was part of Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad's Aurora branch. According to the 2016 US Census Bureau report, there are 1,778 people living in Windsor census-designated place (CDP). This makes Windsor CDP one of the fastest growing areas in Pueblo County with an annual growth rate of 16%.

He named it after his god Neptune because he thought it would make an interesting target for shooting arrows! When he finally found a place where he could fire arrows at him safely, he set about creating projectiles using this new discovery! He invented what is now known as a bullet! In 1885, Russian scientists developed an improved bullet which allowed them to shoot farther than ever before! This was huge news because it gave them an advantage over their enemies in war! In 1925, Japan began developing their own bullets which helped them become World Champions in Shooting Sport!! This was huge news because it showed that Japan had actually beaten America at their own game!! Today, bullets play an important role in gunnery and warfare!!! They allow people to kill or injure people with ease and they can be fired from most types of firearms
