These include aluminum production from silver ore mined nearby, papermaking from locally sourced timber, stone quarries and logging operations. In addition, downtown became one of Colorado’s most vibrant cities thanks to its many restaurants, bars and nightlife options. Today, much like Aspen before it, Westminster remains a colorful community full of life despite some challenges posed by technological advances and global economic uncertainty. Its citizens are proud members of their local community which contributes greatly to their qualityof life overall – something that can be seen throughout their hardworking spirit and willingness to share what they know with others!
Westminster was founded in 1876 as the first town in El Paso County, Colorado. The town was named after Prince of Wales, George V. On July 1, 1912, Westminster became a city and on January 14, 1917 it gained its present name of Denver.
