Thornton, Colorado is a small town located in the Rocky Mountains of eastern Colorado. It is home to the United States Air Force Academy, and has been known for its rifle ranges and hunting opportunities since before firearms were ever invented. In 1907, Thornton voters passed a resolution condemning handgun ownership within city limits. All rifles manufactured after November 3rd, 1938 had to be registered with the government as soon as possible because these were new assault weapons that did not meet the criteria set by Executive Order 9066. These guns are sometimes referred to as pre-1939 assault Weapons because they were not actually introduced until after that date. In 1949,Thornton voters passed a resolution reaffirming their prohibition on handguns within city limits once again (although this time with some exceptions). However, this ordinance only applied to residents of Thornton who owned and operated their own pistols; anyone else who possessed any type of handgun outside of their own homes was still illegal under local law at this point. Mayor John Hickenlooper repealed this ordinance in 1959 after it became clear that it would no longer be effective against handguns being imported into the city from other states or countries due to changes in international trade laws that year. The last major NRA event held in Thornton occurred on February 14th & 15th of 1964 where Sheriff Jens Kappe’s Department demonstrated how shotguns can effectively defend oneself from personal attack using just three rounds instead of six rounds like most self defense weaponry used today

Automatic weapons eventually replaced handguns as the primarystay of civilian Self Defense Weaponry throughout much of the 20th century (Albright & Goldstein, 1994; Ferguson 1998; Kramer & Pinkston 2003). Since rifles have been used extensively in warfare for centuries now, there has been virtually no change in how theseweapons are used when it comes time for civilians to use them as well. In fact, most civilians still rely on handguns/automatic rifles interchangeably when armed with only light armor or shotguns when fighting defensively (Humphrey & Piquette III., 2006).
