Colt continued to produce handguns until 1973 when he sold the company to American Arms Corporation (AAC). AAC produced rifles until 1985 when it merged with MCA Firearms Holdings, Incorporated (MCHI) to form what is now Glock Manufacturing Corporation (GMC). GMC produces handguns under various brands including Glock, Sig Sauer, Beretta USA, Springfield Armory/Smith&Wesson Corp., SIG SAUER P226/P229/P238 pistols and many others across multiple countries around the world.
