However, with increasing trade volumes due to railroads being built through Colorado Springs and Leadville during this time period, Downtown became increasingly congested with businesspeople trying to escape along 17th Street or alight from cars parked along Vine Street near State Capitol Building during rush hours just so they could get inside one more time! In 1951 Driscoll opened her dispensary in what would be known as First Unitarian Church today while dentist Augustus Keyes established Keyes Dentistry which continues today as one of Main Street’s most popular destinations today! By 1969 there were over 1,500 businesses operating within Downtown boundaries making it one of Colorado’s largest commercial districts! At its peak “Downtown Pueblo” had close to two thousand residents – almost all working within its various businesses! continual growth has since occurred pushing even further upslope towards Interstate 25 where much commuter traffic now occurs; however some original buildings have continued standing such as Bankers Hall still used for government meetings although significantly renovated several years ago now housing apartments above as well! A numberous murals have been added throughout recent decades covering nearly every inch/ surface available inside or outside Downtown wallsowing both public art AND private enterprise art often displayed adjacent side streets providing a rich cultural history lesson never recounted anywhere else outsideesanetwork itself!)
