In 1906, Charles Post paid $5 to purchase 640 acres west of present day Parker that would become known as Post Hill Ranch (later renamed Gaylord Ranch). Today Post Hill Ranch still makes up a significant portion of Parker's boundaries with Loop Road running through its heart while other portions are home to various businesses such as "Postmark" convenience store located off I-25 just north of Highway 287 and "Cowboys Pizza" restaurant which opened in early 2006 adjacent to Interstate 25 exit 16B off Loop Road

However, economic stagnation set into motion after World War II as changes within American society began to take hold which affected businesses and employment opportunities throughout Colorado Springs metropolitan area including Parkers neighbor Auraria where jobs had become available in nearby industries such as aircraft assembly plants or tool companies rather than parker
Parker is located in the Eagle County area of Colorado and was first populated in 1867. The city was named for General James Parker, who served as a colonel in the U.S. Army during the Mexican-American War.
