In 1887, the Parker family opened the first gasoline station in Parkersburg, Colorado. The gas station was called the GAS STATION and it was located on 6th Street. The GAS STATION was the first commercial site to receive electric lighting in Parkersburg. In 1912, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Parker founded Parker Brewing Company inParkersburg and began production of beer for local consumption and export. In 1916, they built a new brewery building that still stands today as a historical landmark in Parkersburg. In 1932, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Parker passed away but their sons continued operations of their business until they sold it to ABC-Parke Corporation in 1949 which then merged with Anheuser Busch In 1959, ABC-Parke Corporation became part of AB InBev who later bought out Anheuser Busch Brewery (the current owner) making Parkersburg the only city within AB InBev’s corporate limits that has both an alcohol beverage manufacturing facility (Anheuser Busch Brewery) and an AB InBev owned nightclub/restaurant/hardware store! Parker, Colorado is a small town in the U.S. state of Colorado. It is located about 20 miles (32 km) east of the city of Denver and about 25 miles (40 km) north-northwest of Fort Collins. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,890. The name Parker comes from William A. Parker who settled there in 1868. The post office at Parker was established on October 14, 1865, by Leland Sillis and Alfred Teller with a mail service between Fort Collins and Greeley.[1] The first store in town was built on Main Street in 1867 by Wm. Henson[2]. In 1875, it became one of nineteen towns served by the Greeley stagecoach line which connected Greeley with Denver and other parts of Colorado.[3] The last stage coach ran to Denver on May 26, 1919.[4] In 1896,[5][6][7] John Dickey opened what would become Aurora Brewing Company[8], which operated until 1984 when it merged into Anheuser-Busch InBev [9]. He also founded Parkers Restaurant & Lounge[10], which still operates today as one of downtown's most popular venues for events such as concerts and meetings. The hotel complex known as Renaissance Place (built 1911–1914)[11][12][13] is now owned by Marriott International Incorporated and used mainly as an event venue; it contains several restaurants including Parkers' flagship restaurant Aurora Grill[14], along with three large meeting rooms used for business purposes only or used less often for private functions such as weddings and funerals since they are larger than typical hotel rooms Andres Puskas Stadium: home field of the Colorado Rockies baseball team from 1903 to 1966
