Gun security in Parker, Colorado has been a concern for many years. The small town of Parker is located in the San Miguel County seat of Pueblo, and it has a population of just over 3,000 residents. Additionally, anyone who purchased or attempted to purchase a firearm must provide an affidavit stating their intent to use it in self-defense or hunting within one year previous to purchase or acquisition. The regulation did not take effect until after the repeal of New Mexico’s similar legislation due to public outcry over its effects on personal freedom and Second Amendment rights. In 1993, another amendment was passed which required background checks for all handgun purchasers before they could possess any firearms whatsoever within two years prior to purchase. Since 1996, Parker has seen an increase in gun violence incidents as well as robberies targeting businesses that sell weapons without proper identification verification (ID). In 2017 alone, there were four shootings that resulted in injuries or death occurring within Parkerville boundaries; three occurred at businesses then closed because of the shootings and one occurred when an individual opened fire inside a home after breaking into it using a knife

The history of Parker goes back to when gold seekers began to come into what is now Weld County during the early 1800s looking for something new to explore after discovering new Mexico City Gold Rush sites east of Denver. One such prospector was John A. Parker who came across some rich veins of gold near present day Parker on his rancho las animas property in 1876 while exploring these new surroundings near Golden but not yet developed areas known today as Aurora or Greeley which he called "Paddock". His name stuck to this site so much that when development started on what would become Aurora about northwest of downtown Denver called Adobe Creek around 1895 it became known locally simply as "Parker" until most people hereabouts moved away by then because there wasn't really anything else there other than Adobe Creek . This was also true even though later more developed areas like Greeley were annexed by Aurora making it their official city name !!! In fact many people hereabouts still call themselves "Parkerites" from then until annexation happened sometime around 1930!), Anyway back to our story...When development started on what would become Aurora about northwest of downtown Denver called Adobe Creek around 1895 it became known locally simply as "Paddock" until most people hereabouts moved away by then because there wasn't really anything else there other than Adobe Creek !!! Development continued apace through out those years with lots Of expansion both westward into adjacent counties along I-25 including Ouray County towards Rifle Lake where oil resources had been discovered nearby !!! However things stopped short at what would become Auroras eastern edge due largely to Rocky Mountain National Park designation given primarily to Mesa del Sol National Monument just south of Auroras eastern edge beyond NRA lands !! So much for another roundabout way home!!!!!

Parker is a small town in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is located east of Hollywood on the border of Beverly Hills and Westwood. The population was 7,481 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1892 by George Parker and his wife Anna Campbell. George had come to Rancho Santa Anita from Russia as a cowboy. In 1892 he built a cabin on the east side of town and named it Parkersburg after himself and his wife's family name in Russia. As time passed other people moved into Parkersburg (or took over George's land) including Arthur Ashe who became one of golfing greats and owned many homes there before moving to Monte Carlo in 1922. In 1907, Harry Chandler bought 1/4 acre (0.16 km2) of what would become Parker from Arnold Palmer for $5 share; this property now forms part of what is known as "Chandler Heights". The first schools were built here: Highland Elementary School in 1911-12 and Park Middle School in 1912-13. A post office was established at Parkersburg on December 16, 1912, by Alfred Payson Wright with the name "Greenville". That same year, two brothers named John Whelan opened Canyon Dam laundry service here which remains an important part of local community life today The first bank in Parkersburg was First National Bank which opened its doors September 25th 1913 under the leadership of Jens Jensen In 1916 First National merged withFirst Colorado National Bank to form Denver Federal Savings & Loan Association which still operates today as One America PlazaBank When World War I ended there were few employees left so that president Jens Jensen appointed Einar Christensen to open up a grocery store called Jensen's Grocery until 1917 when it closed because war profits plummeted . After 1918 Safeway came into operation followed by Albertson’s supermarket chain coming online 1945 All these businesses amalgamated into CVS Pharmacy Incorporated on October 15th 1987 creating one world center for retail pharmacy With current location at 1201 S Western Ave
The town of Parker was founded in 1878 by John D. Parker, a settler from Kentucky who arrived in Colorado with his family. The town was named for John Parkers grandson, William J. Parker, who had died in 1876 while serving in the United States Army at the Battle of Buena Vista. The first post office was established in 1879, and the first store was built in 1880. By 1886, Parker had a population of 508 people. In 1916, the city of Parker merged with the nearby town of Golden to form the current municipality of Golden-Parker.
