Northglenn, Colorado is a town in Park County, Colorado, United States. The population was 7,827 at the 2010 census. Northglenn is located on Interstate 25 and straddles the border of Boulder County to the south and Westminster County to the north. Northglenn has been nicknamed "The Gateway to the Rockies" because it is gateway to several mountains in western Colorado including Mount Rushmore National Monument and Sawtooth National Park. Northglenna's rich history can be traced back to 1875 when James Dickey founded a flour mill here after traveling from Kansas City. Dickey's mill was one of the earliest commercial operations in what would become Park County. In 1865, prospectors discovered coal seams near present-day Northglenn and began developing this area into a mining camp called Coal Creek. Mining continued until 1903 when an easier route was developed through nearby Englewood by Denver & Rio Grande Western Railway Company president James Wickersham which led to increased production of oil shale which made Northglenn one of the first places in the nation to experience this type of development. In 1925, Harry Sibley opened his grocery store here that became known as Sibley's Grocery Store until it closed in 1984 due to mergers between J C Penney and Safeway Incorporated. Today, Northglenians enjoy many local festivals each year including their own version of Octoberfest parade which takes place on First Saturday of every month; their annual Pumpkin Festival; Homecoming Parade; Fourth of July fireworks display; Christmas tree lighting processions; Elk/ deer hunts during late fall or early winter months as well as numerous other events throughout the year

Northglenn, Colorado is a small town located in western Colorado. It was founded on July 1, 1868, by Horace Greeley and his father-in-law John Davenport. Northglenn became a city on December 6, 1907. The population of Northglenn was 12,883 at the 2010 census. Northglenn is the seat of County Court for Weld County. The first post office in Northglenn was opened in 1868 by Horace Greeley and J.D. Davenport. In 1907, the city of Northglenn became a municipality with its own government and council system separate from that of Weld County. The population increased rapidly after incorporation; by 1910 it had reached 20,000 people! During World War II, Northglenna served as an important military airbase supplying the war effort in Europe with planes and pilots from nearby Denver and El Paso Airports. On May 15th 1904 Charles Goodyear established Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company north of town on what is now Cottonwood Street between Yale Avenue and Euclid Avenue just east of I-25 exit 191A (now part of I-25). Goodyear's factory produced rubber products until 1967 when it closed due to competition from Japanese companies who bought equal shares in the company

The town was first established in 1881 and quickly became a vital trade center for the area. Northglenn was also an important stop on the Great Western Railway. The towns growth continued until the early 1990s, when economic conditions began to decline in the region. As a result, Northglenn experienced a loss of population and its economy suffered accordingly. In recent years, though, Northglenn has seen some resurgence as a commercial center for the surrounding area.
