Today, Loveland is known for its annual Cherry Blossom Festival which attracts over 100,000 visitors each year; its diverse architecture which includes Victorian-era homes along Center Street; and its rich history which includes being home to the world's largest brass band festival as well as numerous other events throughout the year

When bolts were introduced into weaponry in the mid-19th century they had a significant impact on stock design. Bolt action firearms allowed for faster reloading times which also made them more accurate than prior methods such as percussion fire weapons. This led to a number of different stock designs being developed specifically for bolt action rifles, including various buttstocks and gripstocks. By 1903 all but two infantry armies in the world had adopted bolt action firearms, meaning that rifle stocks had become an important part of military hardware!

The town of Loveland, Colorado was founded on April 6, 1892 by James P. Cannon and his partner, George A. White. The name "Loveland" is derived from the words " Elim," meaning "empty ground," and "-ville" means a settlement or village. The original settler families were Fenton, Gunnison, and Cheyenne. In 1902, the town annexed the neighboring town of La Junta which had been founded in 1886 by De Witt Coleman. The first post office in Loveland opened on July 29, 1892. On December 1st of that year, the first school in Loveland was established with Mr. Christian Wirth as teacher and five students attending class for one day each week until October 1st when Mrs. Hagerty took over for her father who had died a few months earlier. The first doctor in Loveland was Drs John Smeaton and William Haggerty who operated out of a small room near First Presbyterian Church on North Main Street until 1907 when they moved to an office at 9th & Elm Streets which they retained until their retirement in 1951. As early as 1905 there were discussions about building a water tower to serve the growing population of Loveland which did not materialize until 1913 when an agreement was made between local investors and the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad Company to build a new water tower at what is now known as Ninth Avenue & Locust Street just east of Lamar Boulevard. This project cost $5,000 which was met by contributions from many citizens including Capts Hiram Griggs (1861-1929), Asa Hutchinson (1865-1946), Augustus Tolman (1868-1945)and Byron Kilbourne (1872-1963). After years of construction delays due to difficulties obtaining financing,the new watertower finally went into service on October 14th, 1922 after being dedicated by President Franklin D Roosevelt with remarks from Mayor Harry Niedermeyer (1900-1976). During World War II much activity occurred within the boundaries of Loveland including manufacturing munitions such as Tungsten Carbide Products Corporation whose plant occupied what is now Fourth Street South; United States Rubber Company located at 222 West Walnut Street; Radio Corp., later Radio Corporation Of America; American Paper Merchants Association located at 514 Market Square; Consolidated Canning Works Inc.; Military Bases Defense Command Headquarters Army Air Corps: Decatur Barracks #2(later Fort Carson); Boeing Aircraft Industries Division - Phantom Flyers Plant - assembly line #1; also production lines for Douglas DC-3's and Lockheed L80A Joint Chiefs' Transport planes etc...In 1945 research reactors were built at Hanford Site west of Loveland along I–25 where plutonium production began shortly afterwards
