Today's plaza includes two large department stores (Macy's and Sears) as well as twelve smaller businesses including four banks (!), five restaurants/cafés (all within walking distance of each other), three movie theaters (one multiplex), six galleries/museums (including one dedicated to fine art!), fourteen homeschooling providers/groups/, eleven antique shops/, four family entertainment centers/, twelve health food stores/, three toystores/, twenty-six restaurant groupings (/households/) and sixteen hotel groupings (/hotels). As people have continued moving into this thriving community throughout its history, so too has its economy shifted increasingly toward service sector jobs such as law enforcement, retail sales or professional services - although some manufacturing still occurs hereabouts!
