In the early 1800s, Littleton was home to several optical businesses. One of these businesses, the Grand View Optical Company, was founded in 1824 by two men named David Glass and Ebenezer Brown. The company operated out of a store on Market Street and produced a variety of optical products such as telescopes, microscopes, and binoculars. Over time, the company grew into one of Colorado’s leading optical manufacturers. One of the most famous products from the Grand View Optical Company was the telescope known as “The Great American Telescope.” This telescope was used by scientists around the world to view objects in space. The telescope was very successful and helped make astronomy something more popular than it had been before. Another prominent product from Grand View Optical Company was the microscope known as “The microscope with its 600× objective lens.” This microscope helped scientists learn more about nature at a much finer level than they could ever have done with just their eyesight alone. It also allowed for easier diagnosis and treatment of diseases than any other type of medical instrument at that time. Due to its success, Grand View Optical Company soon became one of Colorado’s major optical manufacturers. In fact, it is still in business today companies like theirs continue to produce cutting-edge optical products that help improve our understanding ofthe world around us!

Littleton is a small city in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 7,362 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Weld County. The first settler in Littleton was John H. White on July 4, 1876. He and his family built a log cabin on a hill overlooking the present-day town. The first post office in Littleton was established in 1881, and after two years it moved to what is now the northwest corner of Main Street and Garden Avenue. In 1907, Littleton became part of the Denver metropolitan area through annexation by Denver City; however, its city government continued to operate until 1973 when it merged with neighboring Aurora into one municipality. Today Littleton remains an independent community with its own police department and mayor. The First National Bank building hosts annual events such as the Big Rapids Festival celebration that takes place during August each year since 1951; this event includes agricultural displays from local farmers as well as music performances by popular bands throughout the day culminating in a night fireworks show over Ironton Reservoir which usually happens between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend

The arrival of Interstate 25 in the early 1970s caused little change to Littleton's character; although most businesses closed or relocated away when the freeway came through town, many old buildings remain standing today including what has become known as "The Old Town". In recent years, Littleton has begun to experience growth due largely to its location within easy reach of both Denver and Aurora. As a result of this increase in traffic and development along I-25, some residents have started to complain about potential negative consequences such as increased noise levels and decreased access to parks and other amenities they rely on for their daily lives. Despite these concerns, Mayor Michael Hancock remains committed to making continued progress towards Healthytown status which would see more affordable housing developments built near schools and easier access to outdoor recreation opportunities
Littleton is a city in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 21,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Collins–Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area. Littleton was founded in 1876 by George W. Armour and named for him because of its location on the edge of a small prairie town called "Armour". The first post office in Littleton was established in 1877. In 1886, Littleton became a municipality and renamed itself after Denver, Colorado's capital city. The current name originated with a referendum held in 1984 to replace the previous name of "Arnold" after then-Mayor Arnold Schwarzenegger. In 2013, the University of Colorado at Boulder (UCLA) announced it would move its main campus from Longmont to Littleton because of economic concerns about the high cost of living there relative to other universities acrossColorado Springs and Aurora. As UCLA relocated some administrative offices and student housing within Arvada and Golden before making the ultimate decision to move all its research activities to Los Angeles County due to rising real estate prices throughout Southern California, this has left little doubt as to why Littleton has become a popular choice for new university students seeking an escape from high tuition costs near downtown Denver or Loveland.
