Gun targets have been a part of Littleton, Colorado’s history for over seventy years. The first target shooting event in Littleton was held on October 3rd, 1912. This event was organized by the local NRA and featured twenty-six shooting pistols from various clubs in the town. At that time, target shooting was a popular pastime among civilians and military personnel alike. The current gun targets range is one of the oldest in Littleton. It opened its doors to the public on November 15th, 1985. The range has been familyowned and operated by the same family for over thirty-five years. Today, we offer a variety of firearms programs and classes to our customers base as well as provide them with state-of-the-art equipment including an indoor 22" rifle range and outdoor 25+ yard rifle range.

The city has a rich history that can be found throughout its streets and buildings. One of the most well-known historical landmarks is the Littleton Arsenal, which served as a munitions factory from 1907 to 1945. Other famous landmarks include the United States Post Office Building and the Colorado State Capitol Building.

The first recorded gun target was shot by Captain James Cook, an English explorer in 1778 while on his third voyage around the world. Cook's ship, the Dolphin, was equipped with a cannon and he chose to shoot at a small island off the coast of Sri Lanka. The island proved to be too rocky for the cannon to hit, but Cook is reported to have enjoyed watching the ships of other countries attacking it from a distance.
Littleton is a town in Douglas County, Colorado, United States. The population was 9,836 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood metropolitan area. Littleton was named after Revolutionary War General John Adams and his wife Abigail. The first permanent settler in what is now Littleton was James Fenton who founded a trading post on the Happy Valley Road in 1824. In 1828, Fenton married Martha Waynesboro and they started a small ranch near present-day Rocky Ford Boulevard and Ute Creek Parkway. They also built a log cabin near present-day Main Street and Stanley Avenue. In 1854, David Lane opened up a Mercantile Exchange store in what is now Littleton for local farmers to trade goods with settlers in neighboring counties. By 1860, mercantile activity had grown so much that Lane decided to move his business to what is today downtown Littleton. A year later he donated land for the Littleton High School campus and construction began on the school's first building which opened in 1861. The first post office in Littleton was established atraint on May 1, 1876 by order of Governor Hiram Maxim who chose that name because it resembled "Happiness." The post office operated until 1907 when it merged into the nearby Aurora Post Office under one roof. By 1901, livestock were being raised for food here as well as manufacturing products such as saddles and horseshoes from local cedar logs mined by locals along Ute Creek Parkway northwest of town limits (present day White Sands Boulevard). By 1915 machinery production had surpassed livestock production becoming what would be called "the great center of American industry." During World War II many civilians lost their lives due to shortages of munitions throughout much of Europe so Littleton became an important strategic location during this time period supplying munitions plants located all around Colorado Springs including those directly adjacent to Fort Carson Air Force Base just east of town limits which housed 4 Wing RAF Bomber Command Headquarters responsible for strategic bombing raids over Germany during WWII
In 1872, the Littleton post office was established in what is now the city of Littleton. The first mail delivery occurred on April 1, 1872. In 1886, the Littleton Chamber of Commerce was founded. On July 1, 1907, the city was named for Hiram Johnson, who served as U.S. Senator from New Mexico and Electric Company director in Denver
