A post office was established in 1867, and a railway was built to connect Littleton with Aspen and Denver. The population of Littleton grew rapidly during World War I, resulting in much development around town including the construction of a small airport and new shopping malls. In 1950, Littleton became an independent municipality, and it has since grown into one of the most significant cities in Colorado.Today, Littleton is known for its vibrant economy which includes several high technology companies as well as its diverse cultural attractions such as art galleries and music venues.
In 1665, a man named Nicholas-Jacques Conte came up with the idea to make binoculars. He designed and created a pair of crude binoculars out of two pieces of wood. The first successful Binocular prototype was made in 1667 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte and his son Nicolas-Jacques II Conte. These early prototypes were not very effective because they required a lot of effort to focus on one object due to the lack of an optical path between the eyeglasses and the target object. The development of better binoculars began in 1785 when European scientist Andreas Hofer started working on a more efficient design for binoculars that would allow users to see details much better than before. In 1828, Frenchman Jean-Baptiste Lebas improved upon Hofer's design by creating what is now known as the "Lebas prism." This new type of prism allowed for easier focusing on distant objects by allowing light rays emanating from different points on an image plane to completely pass through each other without interference. With this improvement, people were able to see more detail in targets far away than ever before. By 1830, advances had been made so much that Americans started using binoculars for military purposes as well. By 1840, it was discovered that adding oil or grease to lenses could improve their performance slightly while also increasing durability and range; however, these enhancements did not quite bring about the progress seen with later developments such as stereoscopic glasses which helped make 3D viewing possible even beyond screens used in theaters today!

Littleton, Colorado is a town in the U.S. state of Colorado, located on the South Platte River. The population was 9,611 at the 2010 census. Littleton is one of the most populous towns in Weld County and hosts many businesses and services including a public library and post office, as well as various parks and playgrounds. It is also home to Littleton Junior High School which has been part of the Littleton Community Schools District since it was created in 1996. The first permanent settler in what would become Littleton was John Husted who came to the area in 1876 from Illinois. He founded an agricultural settlement called "Husted's Ferry" near present-day Loveland on the south bank of the south Platte River. In 1881, James Ewing moved his family from Fort Collins to establish a rancho here on land that he had acquired from Spanish explorer Bernardo de Chelly y O'Malley two years earlier during their military expedition into what is now southern Colorado Territory (later unified with Utah). A post office called Husted's Ferry was established in 1881, but soon became known as Telluride because mail arrived by stagescoach route over snow drifts going upriver to Denver then down to Fort Collins via this route. By 1907, when Telluride received its first telephone line, it had grown sufficiently large for incorporation as a city; however, because incorporation would have givenLittleton control over all municipal property within its borders (including streets and public squares), it declined to do so and remained under little local government until1996 when it merged into the larger Littleton Community Schools District. During much of its history—until after World War II—Littleton enjoyed considerable prosperity thanks largely to its location within easy commuting distance of major metropolitan areas such as Denver and Boulder; moreover, its nascent retail industry boomed during this period due largely to factors such as Interstate 25’s accessibility through town limits along both sides of Second Street (then Main Street) – making it easier for people living near downtown Littletonto purchase goods they couldn’t find anywhere else nearby or buy new products being developed nearby at burgeoning companies like Rocky Mountain Arsenal Ammunition Company Inc., Western Electric Corporation and TWA Airlines As more families moved away from rural central Colorado during the 1950s and 1960s for suburban lifestyle opportunities elsewhere in Weld County – principally northward toward Greeley – much of LittleTON’s heyday passed unheralded . However , following several decades during which rapid economic growth gradually stalled amid rising costs associated with population growth rather thanJob creation or any other key indicators ; today’s residents are again vigorously pursuing numerous civic opportunities significant enough unto themselves ++ Despite these challenges ++ For all intents & purposes :: littleTON remains one very special place
In 1876, the town of Littleton was founded on the upper San Juan River. The town's name is derived from a small creek that ran through it. It grew quickly due to its location and natural resources. By 1903, Littleton had a population of over 1,000 people. In 1912, Littleton became an incorporated city.
