The coming years saw more than just growth; they also saw progressivism take hold as breweries such as Pikes Peak Brewery began to open their doors and newspapers such as The Denver Post started to be published regularly hereabouts. In 1969, after several decades of decline brought about by factors such as oil depletion and manufacturing relocation elsewhere within Colorado Springs-based DuPont Companies - both companies closed down their factories herebefore eventually moving out altogether- things began to turnaround thanks largely to efforts spearheaded by then-Mayor Tom Finley and his predecessor Norm Johnson Sr.. Work ensued on developing various community projects including expanding parks & playgrounds; creating job opportunities for locals through various business ventures; increasing access to cultural amenities like theaters & restaurants; improving transportation options available hereabouts; while also providing critical financial support necessary for these initiatives throughout the years (. . .) An important factor behind this turnaround has always been the unique mix existing hereabouts: diverse cultures embodied among residency choices made along geographic boundaries that vary greatly depending upon which end one looks back upon them (urban/rural); socio-economic backgrounds represented among neighborhoods with varying income levels; age ranges represented among residents hereinabouts tending towards late 30s through 50s bracketed between those ages having children or grandchildren still attending school alongside parents working full time (& often 2 or 3 jobs ); racial diversity prevailing within each individual household due not only theretofore being virtually nonexistent outside city limits but even more so because most everyone regardless white European American born either arrived prior westward expansion & migrations during late 19th century followed by waves OF Asians | Native Americans | Chicano’s post WWII era Some would have you believe that our community spirit isn't founded upon hard work ethic but rather easy going attitudes& relatable stories told around fireplaces instead? But if we assess recent history closely enough& look beyond surface level events then we can see otherwise
