On July 1, 1951, annexing land from Fort Morgan to the south gave GreeLEY a total population of 10,859 residents making it one of two cities in Weld County after Aurora to have over 100 000 citizens living within its borders at any given point in its history! In 1966 annexation resulted from which date GreeLEY has jurisdiction over all unincorporated areas east and southeast thereof up until Morrison Lake including parts served by both Aurora and Westminster
