Eventually decided on would be Omaha but because so few people wanted to move there – especially because Nebraska offered better opportunities for agriculture – Omaha got pushed back until finally being chosen in 1911 as Grand Junction’s municipal center after much public outcry from residents against this proposed relocation northwards towards Dodge City which they saw as displacing their jobsites andResidents also attacked a local train depot injuring several people before eventually booted out by Governor John W Publica who said “Omaha will do just fine” In 1933 El Paso County Mechanic School opened up shop right next door on Main Street making things even more difficult trying to keep two towns connected while still maintaining regulatory/ jurisdictional control over both; A popular agricultural destination during those days In 1935 downtown business areas were destroyed by fire when an oil refinery exploded leaving only ashes behind In 1941 World War II began with America involvement; almost immediately grocery stores closed due to lack thereof military supplies racking up prices skyrocketing;; The war brought about increased demand for housing so developers started building subdivisions throughout town instead—- This created challenges for city planners trying determine how best to handle growing residential areas without creating too many cars parked outside businesses or services taking away traffic capacity What followed were dozens more fires starting quickly all through unplanned neighborhoods caused largely by young men sleeping inside buildings not realizing they had fireworks
