It utilized metal plates that could be tilted Allows users to see object up to 100 miles away and also boasted a high magnification range allowing users to study stars at near-infrared resolution! However, due to its expensive construction and large diameter, this instrument never achieved widespread popularity among astronomers until more recent times. Around 1912, Lawrence Alma Tadema constructed what is now know as the "Tadema Telescope", which was one of the largest optical telescopes ever built! It employed four smooth glass mirrors that produced an incredible 20x magnification! Additionally, Tadema's telescope allowed researchers to view objects up to 1 million miles away!)
Golden, CO is a small city in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. It is located at an elevation of 4,735 feet (1,475 meters). The population was 575 at the 2010 census. Golden has a history dating back to 1868 when it was founded as "Aurora." A post office was established in 1870 and remains in operation today. In 1922, Denver coalesced with Auroras neighboring town to form a new municipality known as Aurora-Denver. Golden became the first incorporated city in the area on November 11th, 1924. The name of Golden's current city council reflects this history: "Golden" means "brave new beginning" and "Colorado" refers to its location within Colorado's borders. The economy of Golden is based on tourism, agriculture, and manufacturing; although recently struggling with recent economic downturns. The downtown district contains several businesses such as Barnes & Noble bookstore chain, sporting goods store chain REI, clothing store chains JCPenney and Sears Roebuck anchor stores along with smaller restaurants and cafes such as Bottega Veneta wine shop and Four Peaks Brewery Tours are available throughout the year for tourists or locals looking for unique experiences outside of typical tourist attractions like casinos or theme parks. Golden also offers excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation including skiing/ snowboarding at Aspen Mountain Resort which straddles both sides of I-25 just outside the boundaries of Golden; hiking/ biking accommodations at nearby Osoyoos National Monument including routes overlooking Lake Tahoe; fishing from Ft Collins’ reservoirs; golfing at PGA Tour caliber courses in nearby Broomfield or Aspen; etc.; making it an ideal destination for all types of vacationers!

Golden, Colorado is a small town located in the central Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The population was 7,101 at the 2010 census. Golden has been a center for gold mining and silver production since the mid-19th century. The first successful mine in Golden was the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad's North Star Mine in 1879. From this mine, Arikara Silver Mines began producing silver from ore brought down by rail to their smelters in 1895. In 1907, Gold Corporation opened its first copper mine on 900 acres (300 hectares) near present day Keystone City. This new mine produced $7 million worth of copper until it closed in 1949 due to overproduction. Golden's heyday as a mining community came after World War II when General Motors established a plants there for aluminum production and other metals manufacturing during the post-war boom years. However, by 1970s golden had lost much of its economic significance as result of declines in metal prices and heavy investment by outside interests in nearby towns such as Denver and Salida which replaced golden as an important transportation stop on Highway 66 between Denver and Aspen. Today golden displays a few reminders of its past while struggling to maintain its current level of population, economy and infrastructure
