At that time there were not many airguns available on the market other than pump action shotguns and handguns!

In 1957, when Fruita became an incorporated town, it had a population of 527 people; however, by 2009 that number had grown to 1, transsexuals (transgender individuals who identify as both male and female), 8 transgender individuals and 2 gender non-conforming individuals living there among its residents! There are also numerous businesses located here including several grocery stores as well as salon/spas and service businesses like dry erase boards and air conditioners! There are also many residences situated throughout downtown where you can find art galleries/stores/bars etc., making it one of those great small towns with everything you could possibly want or need!

Today there are a few small businesses and several churches located within the limits of Fruita proper as well as scattered farm acres outside its boundaries. Some notable residents include ranchers George Wuerth and Tom Leeper who established successful Hereford cattle operations; Sam Slagle who became president of Pepsi-Cola Co.; John Faux (founder and CEO of Adobe Systems) who started his business here when he left California for good reasons unknown; basketball coach Rick Majerus (who played collegiately at CU Boulder); Vernors Bogle (founder/CEO of Google Inc.), founder/CEO of BlackRock Inc., and many others associated with local businesses or culture that have long shaped this town’s character or influenced its fortunes.
