Fountain is a small town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 553 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greeley–Asheville Micropolitan Statistical Area. Fountain was founded in 1876 by John Wesley Morrill and his brother-in-law Burton Cummings. The first post office was established in Fountain on July 10, 1876. In 1906, the town name was changed to honor Edward Everett Hale, an American politician who died that year. In 1961, the town was renamed for General James A. Garfield after he was assassinated. The community took off when it became home to Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Estates which opened in 1957 and produced many high-tech products such as GPS receivers and laptop computers. The area now includes several thousand workers employed at the site including some of the world's leading experts in advanced technology defense research and development In recent years there has been talk about redeveloping or demolishing portions of the Arsenal to make way foraserhead housing developments but no decisions have yet been made Fountain is located just outside of Aspen where residents enjoy access to both hiking and skiing trails as well as easy access to water supplies from reservoirs and streams near by

The development of modern weapon flashlights began in the early 1930s when a group of engineers working for General Motors decided to create a handheld flashlight that could be worn on the person. They named their product “Gatling” after then-U.S. president Franklin D. Roosevelt’s former term as governor of New York City (1928-32). Gatling was designed as an infantry weapons platform that could fire Incendiary rounds, which would ignite magazines within the flashlight itself, creating a bright lighting effect called muzzle flashes. Aftermarket manufacturers soon began producing weaponflashlights using different designs and models specific to law enforcement or military applications such as Heckler & Koch MP5 assault rifles, service pistols, shotguns, aircraft cockpits and more. Fountain is a small town in Douglas County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,859 at the 2010 census. It is located on the western edge of the Denver-Aurora metropolitan area. The first European to see Fountain was Juan Rodríguez de Montoya on October 20, 1540 as he sailed into Lake Arapaho. Fountain Creek was named for this location and nearby Fountain Hill because of their similarities in shape and scenery. In 1871, local rancher John Wesley Powell discovered oil shale near Fountain while exploring the Rocky Mountains for coal seams. By 1886, the town had grown to include a Protestant church and a schoolhouse; by 1912 it included two stores and a post office. In 1913, construction began on what would become Park Drive south of town center; parkland comprising much of present-day Fountain was annexed by the town in 1931. In 1951, when Congress passed the Federal Aid Highway Act (PHS), which designated portions of I-25 as routes 302 and 303 (later becoming I-25 & I-70), Mayor Clyde Ritchie lobbied unsuccessfully for federal money to be available to help finance road projects in his community; within three years all but one street in downtown were paved with state or private funds from WPA programs such as highway painting/paving crews under contract with each county government according to county plan submitted annually to state legislators mandating that highways receive national attention through appropriations Acts during regular session thereof.— Facing budget cuts resulting from increased competition from other communities east of Denver city limits along Interstate 25& 70 corridor [see below], Fontenelle Township took over maintenance responsibilities for many cities/towns' State Highway systems thru its enactment of Agreed Minutes dated 3/1/1973 between Township Manager (Mr.) Carl Burtz & myself setting forth Township's position relative thereto.— Upon completion fo Hubert Humphrey's successful presidential campaign & inauguration—the final $6 million appropriation authorized thru PHS #2123 given sole designation “Shared Services” earmarked for Improvement Program Administration Dept.—At approximately 6:00 PM on November 9th 1973—Fountain became an incorporated municipality following passage by both Houses Of The Colorado General Assembly concurrent resolution No 1963—bill vetoed by Gov.— reauthorization therefore being via joint Resolution No 1966 passed 2nd day ensuing thereby effective immediately.— With Hubert Humphrey no longer President & new Governor William Slatkin Approving Federal Funds only Gov't assistance having been directed towards Areas Affected By continuing Oil Spillage (& Flooding)—Notwithstanding this Legislature's action six months prior deleting all references To Municipal status quo ante etc.—Today's fountain contains about 350 people who live close enough together so there is always something going on., Fountain has experienced some very tough times throughout its history including experiencing severe flooding back in 2001 due to an oil spill that happened upstream from the town just north of it The first Europeans who saw Fountain were Juan Rodríguez de Montoya on October 20, 1540 as he sailed into Lake Arapaho., He found waterfalls here and named them "Fountain Creek" because they looked similar to nearby "Fountains Hill". Fountain was founded in 1854 by John C. Fremont as a water supply for the town of Golden. In 1881, the Colorado Central Railway built a line from Golden to Telluride, and Fountain became an important station on that line. The railroad closed its line in 1955, and Fountain lost its status as an important station. However, the community has continued to thrive thanks to its proximity to hiking and biking trails, as well as the availability of fresh water from the nearby San Miguel River.
