Fountain, Colorado is a small town located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The population was 1,823 at the 2010 census. Fountain is home to two main businesses: The Fountain Camera Company and The Fountain Optics Store. These businesses are responsible for many of the Optical Accessories history in Fountain. The first Optical Instrument Shop in Fountain opened its doors in 1923. It was run by Mrs. Alice Kapp and her husband Harry Kapp. They were interested in selling optical instruments and supplies to local farmers and ranchers as well as other consumers. In 1933, Mr. Harry Kapp passed away, but his wife continued to run the shop until her death in 1980. After she passed away, the shop was sold to John Haggerty who operated it until he passed away in 1984. Mr., Haggerty's son, Rick Haggerty took over operations of the store until 2003 when he sold it to Chris White who ran it until his death in 2009. In 2013, Chris' daughter Ashley White took over running the store again and has been running it since then

Fountain is a small town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 792 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Collins-Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to call Fountain home were the Hohokam, who lived on the banks of the Arkansas River in what is now Fountain. The area that comprises today's Fountain was first settled by farmers and ranchers in 1884. In 1912, a group of men from Fountain founded the townsite development association which grew into one of Colorado's leading real estate firms. Today, Fountain consists of a small downtown core with several buildings dating back to 1912 and an adjacent community park filled with trees and ponds providing a tranquil setting for outdoor activities such as swimming or fishing. In 1954, when Interstate 25 bypassed town center and became concurrent with U.S. Highway 6 north of town, residents petitioned for Interstate 25 to be routed through their town instead; this request was granted in 1957 but never implemented due to highway construction projects across Weld County during those years.

Fountain was a small town located in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,869 at the 2000 census. It is now a ghost town. The first people to live in Fountain were the Arapaho and Cheyenne Native American tribes. In 1876, two gold miners named George Washington and James Garfield found twoteen nuggets of gold at Fountain Creek. They brought the gold back to Denver and gave it away to those who could find it. By 1888, there were over 60 milliners, hatters, and clothiers in Fountain. The economy of the town changed when railroads came through the area and started shipping goods from east to west. This caused a decrease in manufacturing jobs in Fountain so many businesses closed their doors that by 1900 only 12 remained open; six of these were stores owned by men who had inherited their businesses from their predecessors. By 1907 there were just three businesses left open in Fountain; all four were restaurants that served Indian food because no other industry grew during that time frame around hereabouts! In 1951, all of the remaining mills closed due to competition from Japanese companies moving into Colorado after World War II. However, some remnants of this community remain including a few homes still standing today on Main Street which are used as rental units for tourists looking for an authentic experience of life back before malls took over! Today there are very few traceable traces left behind of what once thrived at Fountain; however its history does live on through its namesake creek which still flows through town today despite being largely man-made!
