Fort Collins is a city in Colorado, United States. The population was 57,592 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Collins-Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area. Fort Collins falls within the Unorganized Rockies region and straddles both the Front Range and higher mountains to the east. In its downtown area, which is home to many cultural attractions and restaurants, it blends Art Deco architecture with modern facilities for businesses and government. From downtown out into neighborhoods such as The Village and Northglenn, one finds more traditional homes with front porches that lead onto large backyards enjoying mountain views from every window or balcony; these areas have been termed "The Hill Country". The city began as a Pony Express station on 1 July 1876 when General George Armstrong Custer ordered his army's 7th Cavalry Regiment to establish itself along what would become Fort Collins Boulevard east of today's South Park Boulevard. With no other town within a radius of 10 miles offering cavalry training or supplies, Colonel John Evans decided to build his own fortification and named it Rocky Mountain Depot after depot he had located in Denver four years earlier in 1864 at what is now Aurora Avenue (now Glenwood Drive). Evans named his new post after himself because he had successfully defended Casa Grande de la Paz against an attack by Mexican forces in 1867 during Rio Grande Expedition under General Grant’s leadership. Construction on Rocky Mountain Depot began on 10 November 1876 by local contractor J L Hunt & Son using convict labor from nearby Telluride Prison supply depot #1 (later known as Colorado State Penitentiary). The first building opened on 14 December 1876; commandant Colonel John Evans became proprietor of Rocky Mountain Depot effective 15 January 1877. By September 1880, all military personnel in Fort Collins were moved to Rocky Mountain Depot except for Civil War veterans who continued living at their old posts until 1865 when they were transferred to Ft Hays Barracks near Greeley. A gallows was built adjacent to depot in late 1880 serving as an execution ground for convicts until 1902 when state officials discontinued executions due to public opposition. On 4 May 1903 Captured Confederate Major General Stephen Averill Donelson surrendered at Santa Clara County Courthouse plaza following a three-day siege by Union forces led by Brigadier General Edward Wescott during Rosecrans' Overland Campaign over San Miguel River valley south of El Paso Heights; Donelson was subsequently tried and executed here concurrent with other major Confederate surrenderees including Robert E Lee at Guadalupe Mountains across the Rio Grande from canyon leading up Big Bend National Park on 28 October 1863 - less than 24 hours after actual surrendering at Big Bend Hills southeast of Alamosa Springs about 25 miles northeast of present day Alamosa Springs In 1902 an important park extension called University Parkway was added extending 0.5 mile (800 m) northwest from original courthouse plaza site along University Blvd NW (now US Plaza NE) becoming one of largest urban parks in America with PRESENT DAY population estimated at over 100K residents living close by including stretches fringeing Durango suburbs! In 1907 construction started on Alma School Annexe just northwest corner UAlma Blvd NW&I-25E & Alma Dr NE which eventually housed 6 schools becoming one ofAmerica’s largest school annexes! In 1917 construction started on Today’s Red Rock Casino Complex just off I-25E between Alma Rd & Utah Ave N/S creatingthe most complex casino complex westof Las Vegas!

As hunting became more popular, so too did the need for firearm clothing that would protect against cold weather conditions and other dangers while firing at game. In 1868, a company named Lewis & Clark Rifle Company was created by two American entrepreneurs named Lewis and Clark. Their goal was to create the most advanced rifle architecture ever conceived, capable of hitting targets up close with accuracy using only rimfire ammunition. This new technology allowed farmers and hunters across America to start using rifles as weapons of war instead of just farm tools. As hunting became more common and ammo prices decreased, people began needing more comfortable ways to carry around their rifles with them while they were out Shooting Deer or Game - this is when firearm clothing came into being! Many companies started manufacturing pistol-grip straps (later known as holsters) which could be worn over one's shoulder like a belt holster but held onto the arm like a pocket watch chain holster (pictured below). With such comfortable devices available on demand, people soon began wearing attire associated with firearms: Gun shirts, pants made from cotton twill fabric similar to that found on army uniforms back then (pictured left), hats/caps etc... these garments served as both protection from weather conditions outside as well as signalling “I am armed” or “I am not afraid” when meeting potential danger head-on!
