In 1916, this company merged with another guncompany to become “Denver Arsenal Firearms”. This company produced rifles, shotguns, handguns, and armor-piercing ammunition for the United States military. During World War II, Denver Arsenal Firearms production was directed towards making munitions for the USAAF (United States Air Force). In 1946, Denver Arsenal Firearms became part of Remington Arms Company Limited. Remington Arms Company Limited continued producing firearms until it was purchased by Sturm Ruger Corporation in 1994.

Despite being opposed by most Americans, the bill passed both Houses of Congress but was vetoed by President James K. Polk. In 1825, John Quincy Adams introduced another bill that would have regulated firearms within the United States but it also failed to gain support from either House of Congress In 1832, Andrew Jackson signed into law a resolution calling for a National Firearms Act (NFA) which would have banned any firearm not registered with the federal government and made it illegal for anyone under twenty-one years old to possess or sell any rifle, shotgun, pistol or revolver without first getting a license from their local sheriff or magistrate . This measure received bipartisan support and passed both Houses of Congress but was vetoed by President Jackson due to his belief that such laws would encourage people to break existing laws governing ammunition sales and manufacture . This led directly to the founding of the NRA in 1892 as an organization dedicated to enforcing gun control laws through education and lobbying . After passage of two more presidential vetoes (1893 and 1898),Congress finally enacted what is known as “The Brady Bill” into law on November 3rd magazine capacity magazines could be possessed only by licensed dealers with $200 per year in++;firearm manufacturers must provide information on all new products;and manufacturers must certify that all products are safe before they can be sold
