Evans is a small town in the US state of Colorado. It is located about 15 miles south of Pueblo and 25 miles north of Golden. Evans was founded in 1865 by Ezra Evans and his wife, Esther. The town had a population of just over 100 people when it was incorporated in 1868. Evans has since grown to become a small, rural community with a population of around 160 people as of 2010. The Evans family has been involved in the local economy for many years. Ezra's grandfather, James Fenton, ran a general store and post office in the town until his death in 1915. His son, Ezra Jr., continued the family business until he died in 1982. Today, much of the economic activity within Evans takes place through Ezra Jr.'s children, who are also responsible for running the store and some other businesses within the community. One significant event that took place during this time was the construction of Interstate 70 near Evans on what is nowstate road 602. This highway helped to stimulate development within Evans and eventually led to its growth as an agricultural center with farms stretching out into surrounding communities such as Pueblo and Golden. The arrival of I-70 also helped create new opportunities for professionals such as engineers and scientists to move to Evans from outside of Pueblo or Golden and help contribute to its growth into an important commercial center during this time period

MCs had already been developed by Nicholas-Jacques Conte and John Brown before Stephenson’s invention! With this innovation, shooters could now easily load their weapons with ease by simply taking off one side of their MC case while still holding onto their old standard rifle rifling! It wasn’t until 1903 that Winchester adopted this technology with their Model 1886 lever action rifle! Another early innovator in reloading supplies was Alex Ferguson who patented his own process for reloading artillery shells in 1869!. His patent entitled “Improvements In Reloading Arsenals And Other Ammunition” described how he would cut away part of an artillery shell so it would fit tightly within his ballpoint pen's propellant charge) After testing this system on various rounds, Ferguson found it worked perfectly for Loading Cannon Balls (Cannons) By 1879, Ferguson had created what became known as "Ferguson's Patent System" for loading cannon balls!

In 1916, Edwin Evans died at the age of 91 years after a long and successful career in business.
In 1876, Evans became the first incorporated town in Colorado. The population of Evans increased rapidly after it was platted and named for Colonel John Evans, a U.S. Army officer who had played an important role in the Mexican-American War. By 1886, the town had nearly 2000 residents and was growing rapidly thanks to its irrigation systems and cotton plantations. In 1898, Evans became part of the Denver–Aurora area when Denver and Aurora were merged into one city.
