The company served in the 2nd Regiment Colorado Volunteer Infantry during World War I and the 2nd Regiment Colorado National Guard during World War II. In 1949, the company was redesignated as the Englewood Rifle and Pistol Club. In 1961, it changed its name to the Englewood Rifle and Pistol Range Incorporated. In 1971, it changed its name toEnglewood Ranges Incorporation again due to a merger with another range organization in that city called Park Ridge Shooting Centers
Englewood, Colorado is a small city in Douglas County, Colorado, United States. The population was 2,752 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood Metropolitan Statistical Area. Englewood is nestled in the foothills of Rocky Mountains and has a diverse economy that includes manufacturing and ranching. The city was founded in 1881 by James Dennett and other early settlers. Englewood was incorporated as a town on December 12, 1903. In 1967, Englewood became one of sixteen cities within the Denver–Aurora-Lakewood metropolitan area when it was combined with Aurora and Lakewood. The history of Englewood can be traced back to 1881 when James Dennett settled in what is now called "Englewood." At that time the land around present day Engle wood consisted of rough hills and valleys which were used for cattle grazing and hunting purposes by Native Americans who had lived there for centuries. In 1881, two men named Haggerty purchased 640 acres (247 hectares) of this land from the Pueblo Indians under an agreement known as Treaty 6. This purchase marked the beginning of what would become Engle wood's long relationship with ranchers and farmers alike. By 1923 there were over 1,000 ranchers living in or near today's Engle wood including many prominent names like George Wickersham, Harry Smith Sr., Will Rogers Jr., John Fetterman etc.. One of the earliest businesses established in town was J & B Fordyce Boot Shop which opened its doors on Elmira Avenue on November 25th1881 . After years of hard work by Mr & Mrs Dennett their store quickly became one of local landmarks serving as a node for trade throughout western Arapaho County . From these humble beginnings many businesses slowly grew until they reached their current form today including various restaurants such as Mister G’s BBQ (now defunct), Irish Pub (closed), Two Hands Cafe (now closed), Plus One Pizza Place(closed) , Sushi House(closed). Today's community feels very much connected to its past with streets named after pioneers like Elmira Avenue Pioneer Street - James Dennett Way - Ada Mae Gibson Boulevard - Orville Wright Boulevard etc... In 1963 due to overcrowding withinDenver’s public schools system Mayor Richard Molyneux designatedEngleton High School property located adjacent to Ironton Road as “Public Schools – District 3” thereby opening up much needed resources available to help improve conditions at neighboring districts schools which included Eastminster Middle School In 1966 due to increased crime rates resultant from social unrest engulfing portionsofthe city limits decision was made by City Council to annex partsof neighbouringtownsBurlington Heights/Mountain View intocity Limits creating new neighborhoods dubbed "Upper Highlands" &"Lower Highlands". With annexation came improvements such as better transportation options available through annexed areas becoming major economic drivers for both communities without experiencing significant services cuts resulting in high quality jobsites close encounters between residents & police officers currently governing pocketsoulpark&northsouthpkwy

Englewood is a town in Rocky Mountain County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,857 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greeley–Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Englewood post office was established in 1887. The name originated with J.M. Engelmayer, a cattleman who owned land adjacent to the present-day town site. He named his ranch "Englewood" after his home city of New York City and because he could not find any Englewoods in Colorado. In 1912, Englewood incorporated as a village and received municipal services from Greeley. At that time it had a population of just under 100 people; however, by 1920 the village had grown to over 2,000 people and began to receive municipal services from Greeley proper. In 1964, when Rocky Mountain County was created, Englewood became one of its five townships (along with Aspen, Golden Hill Village/Country Club Estates, Heron Lake Village/Fishermens Village/Anaconda Valley), which were all located within its new boundaries. During the early years of this century Englewood experienced rapid growth due to residential development along State Highway 24 (now Denver Boulevard). This growth continued until World War II when most of the housing stock for residents inEnglewoodwas destroyed by fire or bombed during World War II bombing raids onDenverandColorado Springs.(See also: History of Aurora) As early as 1910 there were calls for an expressway through what is now parts of Aurora so that motorists would not have to go down State Highway 24 to reach Englewood or other parts of Rocky Mountain County; however no progress was made until 1928 when then-mayor Orville Smedley announced plans for an expressway through town which would serve both local businesses and travelers arriving via Denver Boulevard or Interstate 70 westbound near Aspen.)
