Gun swivels have been around for many years and were first patented in 1881. They were initially used to rotate a gun so that the sights could be moved from one side of the weapon to the other. The patent application specified that the gunswivel should be able to rotate at a rate of one revolution per minute, or 0.4 revolutions per second. It was not until 1911 that an improved version of the gunswivel was patented which allowed it to rotate at a rate of two revolutions per minute. This version also had a detachable shoulder strap for easier storage. Gun swivels continued to be developed and became more popular over time, with over one million patents filed on them between 1906 and 1985.
There is no one answer to the question of how to properly swivel a gun's barrel in order to aim it. Englewood is a city in Aurora, Colorado, United States. The population was 15,752 at the 2010 census. It is bordered by the cities of Aurora to the north and east, Westminster to the south and west, and Commerce City to the northwest. Englewood is one of two municipalities in Aurora that are not part of Denver County. The first Englewood settlers arrived in 1876 when farmers Jesse Latham and James Aiken moved from Telluride, Colorado. They named their new town after Englewood Hall on Long Island in New York City where they had been living for some time before moving to Aurora. The name "Englewood" was chosen because it was land grant given by President Abraham Lincoln to John Dolan Sr., who built an estate there called Englewood Manor. Aurora became a town on December 12, 1892 when voters approved a Zoning Ordinance creating six wards: Elmira Heights (northwest), Green Valley (southwest), Hawthorne (southeast), Westchester (southwest), Oak Hill (east) and Archerfield (north). On November 3 1920 voters passed a $2 million bond issue for public works projects including streets, sidewalks and lighting that were later used as the foundation for the current city government structure which included four wards: North Side/Downtown/West Side/Oak Hill. On May 1 1907 residents voted 2-to-1 to annex what were then neighboring towns of Westminster and Commerce City due to lack of a quorum making them one municipality with voting rights equal to those of both towns combined; however this annexation never happened as no vote was taken pursuant to resolution passed by Council on March 17th 1907 setting forth this annexation proposal as well as others related thereto; instead all three communities consolidated into one municipality under its present name on July 1st 1907 becoming Englewoods second city limits! In 1912 Mayor George Gorman proposed building a new high school at what is now 24th Street & Downing Avenue but it failed because he ran out of money which led him eventually being impeached in 1915 amidst allegations that he engaged in corrupt activities while mayor. He resigned from office before being impeached resulting in his removal from office effective February 14th 1916 along with all other members of Council including his predecessor Alderman Harry Siever who had also been accused of corruption during his time as councillor prior to leaving office effective January 15th 1916 having been removed from office following an investigation stemming from complaints made against him by citizens within the previous year prior thereto! In 1919 Mayor James Prentice convened a special meeting extraordinarily convened due To His Death Which Led To Election Of A Temporary Mayor Who Adopts The Name Of Mr J H Madden And Continued As Mayor Until 1923 When There Was An ELECTION For A NEW MAYOR AND THE COUNCIL TURNED AGAIN TO AS BEFORE WITH MR J H MADDEN BUT THIS TIME HIS PARTY WAS FOR TERMINATION NOT YET KNOWING WHETHER HE WOULD APPEAL OR NOT! In 1923 Mrs Jane Madden Became The First Female Mayor Of Englewood After Facing Defeat In A Vote Resulting In Her acquittal Following Charges That She Had Failed To Report Illegal Expenditures totaling $5200!. At This Time Municipal Court Petty Sessions began Begun And finality Came With The Order From Judge Whitehair Blocking All Traffic From 24Th Streetanye AvenuedueToPoliticalIncident

Englewood, Colorado is a town in Arapahoe County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name Englewood derives from English "enclosure" meaning "a piece of land enclosed." The first people to arrive in Englewood were pioneer farmers who started out on an old Rancho San Rafael property that was leased by José Del Valle and Fernando de la Torre. They built their homes around 1855 and named their place after Santiago de Compostela, leader of the Spanish mission system in Mexico City. In 1876, John Cashion erected a sawmill on what is now called Old Town Road just north of Englewood Boulevard. In 1880, J.B. Matson opened his grocery store at 11th and Broadway Streets and soon became one of the most significant businesses in town. By 1900 there were ten stores in town with more than fifty employees. In 1907, when the Denver Syndicate bought all of the shares in the Union Pacific Railroad Company for $10 million (at an inflated price), Englewood became one of six towns within Denver metropolitan area along with Aurora (northwest), Golden (southwest), Arvada (east), Lakewood (southwest) and Highlands Ranch (north). The rail line ran through town from east to west across Menard Avenue between I-25 and Alma Street before terminating at Buckley Yard near downtown Denver. At the time it was one of the largest shopping complexes in North America with more than two dozen stores including Macy's Department Store as well as Sears Roebuck & Co., JCPenney & Co., Federico's department store and Hecht's beer store among others The railroad company closed down its lines south of downtown Denver about 1975 so that buses could run directly to Union Station instead which eliminated much traffic congestion on Alma Street . However since then Amtrak has continued service from South Glenarm Station through DowntownDenver stopping only at Buckley Yard making it easy to get around without having to go throughtown
